Posted July 18, 201311 yr There is literally no other compiling of any kind? Not even on TV somewhere (MTV Europe used to have one but apparently even that shut down) Edited July 18, 201311 yr by Raiden
July 18, 201311 yr It's the only "official" one but there are plenty of other European points based charts around the internet. The current Euro Digital Songs top ten: 3 1 WAKE ME UP! Avicii 1 2 BLURRED LINES Robin Thicke Feat. T.I. + Pharrell 4 3 GET LUCKY Daft Punk Feat. Pharrell Williams 2 4 LOVE ME AGAIN John Newman 6 5 LA LA LA Naughty Boy Feat. Sam Smith 5 6 I LOVE IT Icona Pop Feat. Charli XCX 48 7 RELOAD Sebastian Ingrosso/Tommy Trash/John Martin 8 8 LET HER GO Passenger 7 9 BANG BANG will.i.am 12 10 TREASURE Bruno Mars
July 18, 201311 yr What's that? International? Indeed it is. It's compiled just like the Buzzjack Multichart so a points system is used rather than the chart being based on sales (as I don't have sales figures for all countries used to compile the chart). Therefore a points system is used but the overall order is still a reflection of the biggest hits around the world each week.
July 18, 201311 yr Author Well I registered to learn more about all that stuff (official AND unofficial side of things).
July 18, 201311 yr There used to be another one by Billboard, the European Hot 100, which I think used to be seen as the official one, but they stopped it in 2010: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Europ...ne_hits_of_2010 They only have the digital songs one now, but it gives huge bias to the UK. Some songs get #1 when they're not selling anything outside the UK.
July 18, 201311 yr Author Yer absolutely right Euro digital is a thinly veiled UK chart. Otherwise how else can all that BBC/ITV-pushed "Christmas number ones" and "Army wives" stuff end up topping the Euro Digital chart even though they're not even released anywhere else this side of North sea :P It's the only "official" one but there are plenty of other European points based charts around the internet. The current Euro Digital Songs top ten: 3 1 WAKE ME UP! Avicii 1 2 BLURRED LINES Robin Thicke Feat. T.I. + Pharrell 4 3 GET LUCKY Daft Punk Feat. Pharrell Williams 2 4 LOVE ME AGAIN John Newman 6 5 LA LA LA Naughty Boy Feat. Sam Smith 5 6 I LOVE IT Icona Pop Feat. Charli XCX 48 7 RELOAD Sebastian Ingrosso/Tommy Trash/John Martin 8 8 LET HER GO Passenger 7 9 BANG BANG will.i.am 12 10 TREASURE Bruno MarsWhere do I follow that weekly (am not subscribed to Billboard.biz)
July 18, 201311 yr You can follow the 2013 weekly thread on UKMix which posts the top 50 every week: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?...35&start=25 The current top 50 you see is a week behind.
July 19, 201311 yr Author You can always follow the HIT30 right here every weekend. :D How's that compiled? Aggregation of national charts I presume (so my Q is which ones)
September 8, 201311 yr Every week in the news section of the dutch Mega Top 50, there is an article in dutch discussing the international charts. In this article they also publish a European Top 50 which is based on charts from 40 european countries. You find this on their side: megatop50.3fm.nl and then go to nieuws :cheer:
October 9, 201311 yr Charly1300 compiles a chart every week based on the "most downloaded single songs in 19 european countries". (Not sure which 19 countries that includes, but pretty sure it's like Scandinavia, UK, Germany, France, Ireland, etc) Link.
