Posted July 23, 201312 yr How I compile my charts: With a few exceptions, I don't go out of my way to seek out new songs - I usually wait until I hear them on the radio. I mainly listen to Radio 1 and for this reason, most (though not all) songs in my chart are those which are played on Radio 1. I don't usually add a song to my chart until it's playlisted on Radio 1. Songs generally tend to climb gradually as they grow on me, peak and then fall fast, so the chart looks similar to an 80's/90's singles chart. I also usually get bored of a song within a few weeks, so songs don't generally tend to hang around the chart for more than a few weeks - typically around 9 or 10 weeks for a Number 1. Some more chart commentary this week: * Both of Artcic Monkeys' previous two singles peaked at Number 10, but the latest one goes better and climbs to Number 6, giving them their biggest hit since I started the chart in 2008. * The Avicii single was set to rise to Number 4 this week but the weekend clubbing effect helped it climb into the Top 3... who knows how much further it could go? * At the other end of the chart, Tinie Tempah makes a rather limp new entry at 40. The original is great too - a highlight on an album which seems to be full of them! :wub: 37 Sounds quite different to their previous three singles which all had something about them which was a definite Rudimental sound. I still like this though, definitely more so than 'Waiting All Night' which is quite overrated I find.

The original is great too - a highlight on an album which seems to be full of them! :wub: 37 Sounds quite different to their previous three singles which all had something about them which was a definite Rudimental sound. I still like this though, definitely more so than 'Waiting All Night' which is quite overrated I find. Hey Liam, not a lot in my chart you don't like then :) 31 - yeah the Cedric remix is pretty good, but like you I really like the original too! I'm surprised the song's not performing better actually, but it might take another couple of weeks I guess. 37 - I think it's a good thing that it sounds a bit different, but I still think it manages to keep its identity as a Rudimental song, especially further into the song.
