August 15, 201311 yr Author Its release strategy was very mixed up and had it not it just may have performed better.
August 15, 201311 yr Interesting ratings Mango, nice to see some of the 90s getting some high scores!
August 16, 201311 yr Author Sure has a very split opinion, i rarely find anyone who loves it, i do find some people find it ok and some who just never liked it, i fall into mid table myself on the song. Whoever decided it as lead single over back for good and never forget must be clueless. I really believe had Nobody else been launched on the back of back for good or never forget it would have sold more.

I like Sure because of the live versions I've seen of it - loved the one they did on the Beautiful World tour. As a stand alone song I probably wouldn't be so keen.
August 17, 201311 yr Yeah I agree Kath, I really enjoyed that section I'm the BW tour. Would be nice to see them maybe do a stripped back version of Sure at some point. Pippa, I think it was lead single as it was firmly aimed at the US vibe and European music tastes at the time. It did well, but when the follow ups are BFG and NF it is always going to be outshone

August 17, 201311 yr Im hit and miss about sure, overall it is their most forgettable number 1 and also i hate that sure has number 1 status over excellent songs like a million love songs, the flood and rule world. Rule the world for example is their 2nd biggest selling single so i would have loved that to have number 1 status over the forgettable sure.
August 19, 201311 yr Author Having Sure as part of their number 1's collection is annoying when so many better songs that didn't make number 1 and outsold it aren't on the list. In terms of their own singles i would love to see a top 5 favourite singles from each member of Take That just to see how they rate the singles themselves.
September 17, 201311 yr Howard says in Take That Take One that his favourite 5 TT songs are 'Never Forget', 'Back For Good', 'Patience', 'Rule the World' and 'A Million Love Songs'. This was before the Progress album so don't know if his opinion has changed.
