1st, 3rd and 4th - not bad!

Kinda wish I hadn't had my bigger bets on The Rainbow Hunter and Prince De Beauchene, but ah well. Always nice to pick out a national winner, especially when it's one not many other people have picked out properly!

Not a single bean this time.

Never mind.

Harsh that the 39 jockeys could be getting a two-day ban for lining up before the start of the race.

Racing will be taking place on Good Friday for the first time in its history with a £1m pot for the day at Lingfield at the 1st "All-Weather Championship Finals Day". And also racing at Musselburgh?

What do people think about racing being on Good Friday?

40-1 outsider, Night of Thunder won the 2000 Guineas for Richard Hannon Jr in his first season as a trainer after taking over from his dad. It is a fifth win in the race for controversial jockey, Kieran Fallon, his first 2000 Guineas win since 2005.

On Day 1 of the Ebor Festival.

Australia won the Juddmonte International by 2 lengths with French Derby winner The Grey Gatsby back in second and Telescope in third.

So where to run Australia next- The Irish Champion Stakes or The Arc? I hope Australia runs in the Arc for the showdown between him and Taghrooda.

Taghrooda's unbeaten record is over after Tapestry won the Yorkshire Oaks with Taghrooda in second.

Also today:

Jamie Spencer has announced that he will retire at the end of the season as a jockey to take up a new role with Qatar Racing Ltd.

He is also known as the ex-husband of Channel 4's Emma Spencer. As he had an affair with fellow jockey Hayley Turner and when they got found out, they split up.

Dodging Bullets foils Sprinter Sacre's big comeback with victory in the Grade 1 Clarence House Chase.

How do people think Sprinter Sacre ran? He did show some signs of the old Sprinter Sacre but he's not probably the same horse he was since his heart condition in December 2013 although he did have a minor bleed to the nose after the race.

The New One who is one of the big fancies for the Champion Hurdle wasn't at his best at all at the Champion Hurdle Trial at Haydock today.

2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run will miss this season.

Also Aidan Coleman was given a four-day ban for his use of the whip in winning thr Welsh National. I think this ban is bizarre. If he was going to get a ban why not give it to him on the day?

It was a perfectly ride from him on Emperor's Choice.
