"Jogging" delves into subjects like anxiety, aided by Mr. Dawson's dry, diaristic lyrics, whilst also painting a bleak picture of modern Middle England - with the titular activity of jogging serving as an escape for the narrator - if only for a fleeting moment. All that, coupled with Mr. Dawson's unmistakable vocals, and still finding time to pen an undeniable chorus to boot - this transcendent piece is more than enough to establish Mr. Dawson's place as one of the finest musicians and wordsmiths of our time.
