As mentioned by others some people believe the Big Top 40 on Capital is official, likely because it's still on Sunday! If Radio 1 aired the final chart on Sunday and make it very clear that it's the official one I can see there being a big audience for it. I can't imagine the number of people listening to the chart specifically for the reveal is very high now anyway.

Must have misheard that - I assumed it was streaming only as there are some glaring omissions (Sound Of Music, most Rolling Stones albums) and it's the same as the "most streamed" chart as published on the OCC site. Maybe a mistake on the BBC's part?

They may as well just push the Friday chart reveal to Sunday at this point! Would be good to get the correct Thursday streams if they moved it.
