Thank you very much Golden Horn and Frankie Dettori. What a ride Dettori gave him. His 1st Arc since 2002 and his fourth overall. Treve just didn't have the answers today.

Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree is to miss his Christmas targets because of injury.

The eight-year-old, who was being aimed at either the King George VI Chase at Kempton or the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown in Ireland, is believed to have suffered injuries to both hind legs.

Vets are assessing the horse; it's unclear whether he will race again this season.

Eh.

On the bright side though, I had Cue Card in the last Kempton placepot I had running, and Baron Alco struck home in the last to hand me a £35 return, sweet <3

Congratulations to Lizzie Kelly who became the first female jockey to win a Grade 1 Race in Great Britain with victory on Tea For Two in the Kauto Star Feltham Novice's Chase at Kempton.

Vautour did very well until the last 20 yards although his first time at 3m. Well done to Cue Card and Colin Tizzard winning at his fourth attempt. However Paddy Brennan the winning jockey has given a 11 day ban and fined £4,200 for excessive use of the whip.

Channel 4 Racing will be no longer from next year as ITV have won the terrestrial rights to show racing. It will end a 31-year link between Channel 4 and racing. Although ratings have been down as only 475,000 people watched the King George on Boxing Day down by two-thirds from three years ago.

Their coverage has been pretty shoddy recently. They never replaced John McC - for all the rubbish he spouts, he knew his racing.

Two-time cycling Olympic gold medallist Victoria Pendleton has been lined up for a possible ride at the Foxhunters Chase at the Cheltenham Festival as a amateur jockey. She rode in her first point-to-point race on Sunday and finished 4th. From a complete novice to a ride at the jump racing's showpiece fixture in a space of a year. This would be quite an remarkable achievement. She still has someway to go.

I highly recommend it to you, Lee. You should enjoy it. It's a great atmosphere. Is it for the whole Festival?
I concur- the racing's a great day out (the Chelts festival would be especially great, I'd go at some point if it wasn't so far away :kink:)
