I thought it was amazing and definitely one of the highlights of this era in terms of performances :cheer:

I don't think anyone can be upset about it not being GUY, cause that was so amazing. ARTPOP. She told the world about ARTPOP so that they too may realize. Flawless.
i think the performance was really good especially since I'm not the hugest fan of the song. however still a bad decision overall to perform artpop over gypsy, guy, sexxx dreams, etc...sigh. messy. :(

I love Artpop and reckon it could make a great, veeery risky, left-field single, but it needed to come earlier - either 1st or 2nd single.

Hmm, I wonder if the article's right and it is the new single...

By the way, she's done it, she's back :snif: :gold2: :musicnote: She slayed, people, she slayed!

Now this is how to do a live SINGING performance, not dancing around in ropes or some other gimmick.

Edited by Michael!

Excellent performance and probably the most logical choice of song to perform.
Ughhhh...... Beautiful performance but awful single choice yet again.... this won't be played on mainstream radio. Pretty sure the era will be over after this. I'm not saying she doesn't care, but this song choice doesnt make sense right now.
I LOVED this performance!!!! ARTPOP is my favorite song and I really wasn't expecting it at ALL. I love this version even more....just when ya think ya can't love something more. Flawless performance. So excited and proud to be a monster tonight. This also made me even more excited for artRAVE. Paws UP fellow Monsters. Epic epic epic performance.
I forgot to add, you can watch the video from that link but it's also on youtube, so it's available.

The reviews are in! :cheer:

Lady Gaga: Fierce & Intense

'Tonight Show' Performer!

http://cdn04.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2014/02/lady-gaga-fierce-intense-tonight-show-performance.jpg

Lady Gaga wows the crowd with a performance

on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

at Rockefeller Center on Tuesday (February 18) in

New York City.

The 27-year-old entertainer was joined by Kristen

Wiig, who did an impersonation of One

Direction singer Harry Styles on the show.

Later in the night, Lady Gaga sported a tribal

feather mohawk while arriving for dinner at the

trendy Quality Meats Restaurant in the Big Apple.

Earlier in the day, Gaga sported a pink coat while

stepping out of her apartment.

Idolator:

Lady Gaga unveiled a rare live performance of

ARTPOP‘s title track for the second episode of The

Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Tuesday

(February 19). The performance marked Gaga’s

return to the spotlight after a couple months

spent opening up about betrayal and depression,

and working on more ARTPOP material.

No surprise, it was like she never left. Mother

Monster began on a modern grand piano for a

quiet rendition of the first verse. Then that

trance beat kicks in and by the end she was

down on the stage doing her faraway-look art

freakout dance. I don’t know about you, but the

live take gave me a new appreciation for the

track.

Lady Gaga ARTPOP(Photo : Interscope)

It's been a minute since the world got to see a

live performance from Lady Gaga. After spending

the last bit of 2013 fighting depression and

battles within her inner circle, the Mother Monster

finally made a return to live performances last

night (Feb. 19) with a performance of ARTPOP's

title track on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy

Fallon.

Wearing a straight blonde wig that's nearly as tall

as herself and a white two-piece spacey shorts

suit, Gaga began "Artpop" at a Bauhaus-inspired

white piano with a beautifully stripped down

version, and the simple start showcased that her

musical chops are still insane.

After the first chorus, backing musicians and the

track's dance drum beats kicked in, and the fully

plugged in version was funky as all get out.

Eventually, Gaga descended from the piano's

perch, moving around like someone artistically

having a seizure.

It was a welcome return to the stage for Gaga,

and it's hard to think that the song choice of

ARTPOP's signature song doesn't have a deeper

meaning for Gaga, who previously noted that

2014 would usher in a new era for the album.

Lady Gaga Brings 'ARTPOP' Title

Track To 'Jimmy Fallon': Watch

Lady Gaga became the second musical guest

on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon"

on Tuesday night (Feb. 18), presenting a half-

stripped-down version of her "ARTPOP" title

track -- perhaps the next single from her latest

full-length?

The studio version of "ARTPOP" is a showcase of

stuttering synthesizers and other whirring

gizmos, but for her "Tonight Show Starring

Jimmy Fallon" debut, Gaga parked herself

behind a crystal piano placed on a towering

platform at the back of the stage. The familiar

beat kicks in after the first chorus, and

eventually, the pop superstar marches down

the ramp toward her audience and takes a

break from strutting to cry, "I just love the

music, not the bling!" in the song.

After "Do What U Want," her duet with R. Kelly,

became a Top 20 hit on the Hot 100 chart,

Gaga and her team have been cagey about the

next single from the album -- it could be

"Gypsy," or "Venus," or "ARTPOP," or none of

the above. Last week, reports surfaced that

the singer was shooting a big-budget music

video at the Hearst Castle on the California

coast, although the song at the center of the

shoot was not disclosed.

In more concrete happenings, Gaga's artRave:

the ARTPOP Ball tour will begin on May 4 in Fort

Lauderdale, Fla. Last month, the pop star

extended her upcoming arena trek to

include a fall European leg.

As amazing as the performance was, I'm quite pissed we still don't know what single 3 is. And the performance would have been of such benefit to single 3. Will Gaga and her team just let it go and announce single 3 and send it to radio? Let it go already trolls gahd http://i.imgur.com/IzRvL2N.png

I'm still disappointed she didn't perform G.U.Y., I can't blame that on her though, I suppose it's my own fault for getting hyped by these rumors. Still, it seems like an missed opportunity. It feels like a compromise since it seems like DWUW's moment has passed, while single 3 remains a big mystery. This is an odd era. :(

Look what I found on twitter

"Lady gaga can truly sings live, even about an ipod, this is amazing. please where can i buy Lady GaGa's new album? #gagaonfallonTonight"

"I WANT TO BUY LADY GaGa's song IPOD, PLEASE SEND A LINK! #GAGAONFALLONTONIGHT"

:tirren:

T WAS PERFECT

I don't even care if it is the single or not, I'm absolutely stunned, by far her best performance of the era

I feel like she's wasted both this opportunity and the BRITS her comeback single would be a for away already but it's not. Idc about it not being on radio, that can happen overnight in all honestly & the music vodeo editing won't take months would it
Why on f***ing earth would she promote a single that hasn't even been pushed to radio yet?? The song would get a small boost on iTunes and then drop f***ing straight away and it would have been pointless. Then they'd have to start from f***ing square one with it again. It was kind of inevitable that she would perform an album track. And that's the most effective way to sell an album/tour, because singles get beaten to death on radio anyway. So this is something fresh to the GP that watched the show. Whether you think ARTPOP was a good enough choice for that or not is your f***ing call!!!
Gaga not singing GUY is a big dent in her comeback campaign imo. Everyone will forget this performance by next week. Piss poor move from her management and her imo

EW WHY DID SHE PERFORM ARPTOP INSTEAD

OF G.U.Y.

EW WHY IS G.U.Y. A SINGLE INSTEAD OF

VENUS.

EW WHY DID SHE EAT A SALAD INSTEAD OF

A GRILLED CHEESE

EW.

The "hee's" give me life. But, not enough to make me recover from not singing GUY.
