August 25, 200618 yr No news :( They're leaving it too late IMO in America - it might get timed just right for the UK though.

August 26, 200618 yr apparently, according the fmdq.com the new single in the usa is ''illegal'' and is to hit the radio in september. fmdq is an official radio website.
August 27, 200618 yr ^^ That is the site that said Gwen Stefani would release "Crash" next in the US, they got that right so this could be true as well. Edited August 27, 200618 yr by Notso_Hampson
August 27, 200618 yr Illegal will be a good release, ballads generate album sales, and even if the album doesnt go top 10, hopeuflly it will be able to keep between 11-20 for a while. I predict Illegal to enter around the 6-10 chart range, possible top 20 on billboard if they release the non-raduio edit, and downloads are good
August 27, 200618 yr its fmqb.com, i typed it wrong. i do think illegal could do well, but im not sure if it will get the album top 10 in the uk.
August 27, 200618 yr i like illegal the song really comes to life when shakira sings it live, it will do well in europe not too well in the USA and UK but it doesn't matter it will boost OF2 worldwide sales and pave the way for the 4th single i can't wait to see what the public make of 'Animal City' a some what risky track not about love thus uncommercial?
August 27, 200618 yr Author Well i hope animal city will be the third single.. maybe she will shock us and pick something completely different. We need animal city, costume makes the clown and timor.
August 28, 200618 yr Well i hope animal city will be the third single.. maybe she will shock us and pick something completely different. We need animal city, costume makes the clown and timor. Fourth single :( what about Don't Bother  I don't even think Illegal would be a hit in Europe. I reckon Animal City would've done better everywhere. Everyone I play it to loves it and thinks it's a great pop song. The only thing I can think of that will work well for Illegal is that Radio 2 should love it. They did play Don't Bother so maybe they'll be more generous with this one. Edited August 28, 200618 yr by Ashley
August 28, 200618 yr i still think illegal has what it takes to do really well in europe, they love downtempo ballads she may not be able to pull off the repeat success of UYC but its important the public see this side of shakira that she can handle ballads as well as hip shaking tracks talking from the business side of things sony know it is commercial and will sell better than many of the uncommercial tracks from OF2 with the 4th single the public will see another side of shakira and its rare for a female artist to risk and release a songs that isn't to do with love but AC is worth it, many will think WTH is this!? but some will get it and she will get new fans that haven't seen this side to her, it could get HUGE
August 30, 200618 yr I really like all the songs on her album but i really dont think any of them will be another top 10 hit for her :(
August 31, 200618 yr I reckon she'll have a top 10 with Illegal - I mean she managed it with Don't Bother. But I know what you mean - non of the songs on the album scream "single!" I don't reckon she'll get another big hit either but OF2 should hopefully keep selling well now.
August 31, 200618 yr Author I sent illegal to a non shakira fan and he liked this single.. it reminds people of UYC
September 1, 200618 yr I sent illegal to a non shakira fan and he liked this single.. it reminds people of UYC Yup ^^ Although I would prefer something different
September 1, 200618 yr I always think of Illegal as a poor mans UYC. I've actually listened to it quite a lot recently and I think it might do alright - but I reckon it needs a stunning video - something really striking. Hopefully the budget is huge after the success of HDL. I'd also love it if she recorded an accoustic version of Illegal as well - like she did with UYC. I always love accoustic songs and think an accoustic arrangement would lend itself well to this song.
