I didn't know where to put this as its not really a "News" item, more a feature. I hope you enjoy reading it. I originally posted it up on therobbiewilliamssite.

Robbie is on the front page of the Sky Magazine for September with the heading

"Let Him Entertain You" Robbie's UK Tour Live on Sky 1

Angels Always Gets the Best Reaction.

As he gets ready to perform in concert exclusively live and in HD on Sky One this month, Robbie Williams reveals he preys to Elvis, what he thinks about aliens and who his favourite TV pin ups are.

Cheeky chappie Robbie Williams has succeeded in becoming a global phenomenon since he left boy band Take That back in 1995. The 32yr old from Stoke on Trent has racked up an impressive run of memorable singles and worldwide sales of his albums currently standing at over 40 million.

But success hasn't always come easily to Robbie. A highly public battle with drug and alcohol addictions left his solo career floundering at the outset, with few people in the music industry thinking he'd get anywhere, let alone to the top.

Ten years on, its a very different story. In 2005 his song Angels was voted best song of the last 25yrs by Radio 2 listeners. He's also entered the Guinness World Records by selling over 1.6 million tickets in a single day for his current world tour. He smashed the previous record of one million tickets, set by NSYNC in 2000.

So what makes Robbie so extraordinary? Its not just his musical success - 7 best-selling albums (new single Rudebox is out on 4 September) - or the fact that he's sexy, cool and yet still feels like your best mate.

What makes him such a star is his on-stage charisma. He is arguably the only solo male artist in the world who can work a crowd of 100,000 into a chanting, frenzied mass.

His performance was considered by many to be the highlight of the Live 8 concert in the summer of 2005. He got the entire crowd in London's Hyde Park chanting "We Will Rock You", just like Freddie Mercury did at Live Aid 20 yrs previously. The audience was in the palm of Robbie's hand and the atmosphere was electric.

This month you can see hime work his magic again, exclusively live on Sky One when he performs at Roundhay Park Leeds as part of his 5month world tour. Its the first ever pop concert in the UK to be broadcast in HD. Ahead of the big gig, we got a change to put a few questions to the busiest man in pop.

ON PERFORMING

You were the big hit of Live 8. Is there more pressure when you're performing live on TV and how do you deal with your nerves?

RW - Camera's don't bother me. I just feel pressure performing in my home country, because I simply expect more of myself.

Are you superstitious - do you have any pre-performance rituals?

RW - Not particularly, no. But I always pray to Elvis and always have chicken, beans and rice, so perhaps I am superstitious!

What do you arrange to have in your dressing room?

RW - Water, espresso machine, Gatorade, fruit and Vocalzone (throat pastilles).

Which track gets the best reaction from the crowd, and which is your current favourite to perform live?

RW - Angels always gets the best reaction. I'm enjoying Come Undone just now.

Do you choose your own stage oufits?

RW - Yes, I do. The three-quarter-length coat is rocking at the moment. It makes me feel statesman-like.

ON MUSIC

Who's your musical hero?

RW - I haven't got one. There are so many people I like for different reasons.

What do you think of current bands?

RW - There is nothing current that I really enjoy, but Elbow are very good.

How would you describe your music right now?

RW - Aaaacciidd!

ON TATTOOS....

Will you have more done?

RW - I never really know until the day I choose to have one. But they're getting more painful as I get older.

Do you worry about getting old and having tatts on wrinkly skin?

RW - I do worry about getting old, but only because I like playing football.

ON LOOKS

Your style: Messy or tidy?

RW - Messy

Do you like training or is it a drag?

RW - Training is boring. To be honest, I just play football

Do you take vitamin supplements?

RW - I did for a while to stop me getting the flu ...then I got the flu!

ON TV

Whats your appointment TV?

RW - Sky Sports News

Whats your favourite soap?

RW - Dove!

Is there a programme you have on series link on Sky?

RW - The Sopranos

Will you be watching this year's The Match?

RW - Yeah, I hope so.

Who are your TV Pin-Up's

RW - Ant and Dec, because Ant looks fetching in a suit.

ON ROBBIE RUMOURS..

You smoke 60 cigarettes a day.

RW - False its 61

You Believe in Aliens

RW - I believe there is a possibility they exist

You love Scrabble

RW - I do. I haven't played for ages. I average two or three seven letter words a game.

ON HOME

Where is It?

RW - Home will always be Stoke on Trent, but I live in LA

What gets you back to Stoke

RW - My charity Give It Sum

Best and Worst things about living in LA

RW - Best: The sun. Worst: There are none

and living in the UK

RW - Best: Full of Brits - Worst: You can't get a 3pm football game on TV like you can in LA
