Not overly against the inclusion of Africa. Much like the aforementioned Manics 'Tolerate' it's not exactly Slayer but Toto are a Rock band so I'm not going to be too fussy unless there's a mass outcry.

I have more than enough nominations now so I'm putting the cut off for submissions at 11.59pm on Tuesday.

Some of these 'Rock or not' decisions are giving me a real headache!

On to my list then.

I have to say these aren't necessarily my favourites but who wants a list of obscure Killing Joke albums tracks etc. So I've cobbled together a list of tracks regareded as standards or classics from the fileds of Punk, Metal and Rock. Since some of my originla list have already been listed I had to drop a few and find replacements

Motorhead – Ace Of Spades

Sex Pistols – God Save The Queen

Led Zeppelin – Rock n Roll

Metallica – Enter Sandman

AC/DC – You Shook Me All Night Long

Guns N Roses – Welcome To The Jungle

The Clash – London Calling

Deep Purple – Smoke On The Water

Black Sabbath – Paranoid

Green Day – Basket Case

Bruce Springsteen – Born To Run

Iron Maiden - The Number Of The Beast

Faith No More – Epic

Ramones – Blitzkrieg Bop

Foo fighters – One By One

Jane’s Addiction – Been Caught Stealing

Slayer – Raining Blood

Pearl jam – Jeremy

Soundgarden – Black Hole Sun

Smashing Pumpkins – Bullet With Butterfly Wings

Nine Inch Nails – Head Like A Hole

Slipknot – Left Behind

Manic Street Preachers – Motorcycle Emptiness

Killing Joke - Eighties

The Who – Won’t Get Fooled Again

Blue oyster Cult – Don’t Fear The reaper

Thin Lizzy – The Boys Are Back In Town

Lynyrd Skynyrd – Sweet Home Alabama

The Clash – Should I Stay Or Should I Go?

Sex Pistols - Pretty Vacant

L7 – Pretend We’re Dead

Free – All Right Now

Dead Kennedys – Holiday In Cambodia

Siouxsie And The Banshees – Hong Kong Garden

The Stranglers – No more heroes

The Stooges – Search And Destroy

MC5 – Kick Out The Jams

The Undertones – Teenage Kicks

The Cult – She Sells Sanctuary

Pantera - Walk

Great list, hard to disagree with many of them. I havent the time to do my own list (though it would include more poppy rock Beatles, T.Rex, Bowie amongst others, if they are allowable) but I'd prob opt for lesser known tracks in some cases like Wishing Well (free), Cities In Dust (Siouxsie), Don't believe A Word (Lizzy), Tolerate This (manics), Fireball (Purple), Touch Too Much (AC/DC), Nice n Sleazy (Stranglers)
