I can’t help with the book but wanted to say thanks for bringing it up as I had not heard of this at all. It’s so interesting to find that unofficial charts have been compiled for this period. September 30, 20204 yr From a quick check, all of the charts from 1940 to 1952 that were in the book have been posted at http://hitsofalldecades.com/chart_hits/ind...2&Itemid=52 You need to click on the year and then click on the UK (Missing Charts) Weekly Singles Charts link for that year (usually found near the bottom of the links).
