Elton John has unleashed some tough words about his fellow pop stars, saying Miley Cyrus is a “meltdown waiting to happen” and Lady Gaga is in a “dangerous place.”

The outspoken star said even though Gaga is the godmother to his two sons, Zachary, 2, and Elijah, eight months, she won’t take his calls.

 

He told The Australian, “I’d like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can’t get through to her.

 

“And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don’t question you, you’re in a dangerous place.”

 

Sir Elton continued, “Look at Lindsay Lohan. There was someone with a successful career and her parents completely f***ed her up. The dad was in jail and the mum was doing coke with her. Great!”

 

And of Miley, he said, “I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen … And she’s so young! But she’s got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?” (:basil:)

Sir Elton, who says he can “spot a car crash before it happens,” also said of Michael Jackson, “I was in my dressing room in Las Vegas when they announced that Michael Jackson was playing 50 dates at the O2. I turned to my agent and said: ‘He won’t do a single one of those.’ I could tell you he was going to die. He’d been doing drugs for so long, he’d been a mess for so long – and I’ve known Michael since he was 12 or 13 – that it was never going to happen. Everyone was saying it was going to be great and I was saying: ‘Hello? Are you looking at the real thing here?’”

 

“The secret of success is: don’t let everyone know everything,” Sir Elton surmised. “Keep some of it to yourself. It’s why I’m not a big fan of the internet. There should be some privacy, some mystique left. Even with me. All they talk about is the hair, the flowers. Actually, they don’t know me at all.”

 

Looks like Gaga can live without Sir Elton's applause.

He does have a point though. Let's hope she's just too busy to answer and not 'cos she doesn't want to hear criticism which, if that's the case, then that is a bad place to be.

So this was either fake/rumour or over because they've been snapped having dinner together this week. She's also shown him the album cover.

OKAY. Now I'm saying this as if this story is true, but keep in mind I have taken that with a grain of salt.

 

If he did say those things publicly, I don't blame her for not talking to him anymore. It's so disrespectful to talk about another high profile celebrity in a negative fashion, in any sense when it comes to talking to the press! He should be very well aware that just because he can't "get through to her", it does not provide any right to talk about someone in a negative sense. Especially to go as far to compare her to Lindsay and Michael's breakdowns. Upscale trashiness, tbh.
