Having promotion spread out, particularly at this time of year is a the right approach to drive sales increases.

Ya i have to agree and i think they have marketed this album very well, let me go is number 8 on itunes now so hopefuly he can hold top 7 now for sunday official chart.
It's number 5 combined still as there's another version at #34 so hopefully strong sales this week again
16.5k sales so far on the single front. Only 3.5k behind number 1
He's doing radio 2 next week with a concert broadcast on the red button and live on the radio.

Then he's got the XF performance with Elton and straight after I think the Afghanistan documentary is shown, so fingers crossed Gary will keep up momentum

Next Wednesday he's on with Ken Bruce in the morning, Steve Wright in the afternoon and live on BBC website and red button at 8pm for the concert. Face to Face is being

performed on the final X Factor Show on Sunday 15th and the Afghanistan documentary is being aired at 9pm on Dec 21st on ITV1. A week later he also has the BBC1 New Year's Eve TV show, Gary Barlow's Big Ben Bash, 11.15pm - 1am.

Hopefully all that lot will keep the album selling into 2014. :-)

Great news! The album is selling very well so far! I'd love him to get the number 1 as well.
All the promotion will definitely keep sales up, even to stay top 10 in the album hart right through to the end of the month will build up very decent sales. Im sure we will get t the least a third single around February time which would again boost sales, his er is looking to be very good for him.

Possibly, but can't imagine a third single would do much on it's own in the charts. What would you have as the 3rd single?

I've been thinking about this and am very interested in others thoughts. Not many of the tracks have a strong hook, or a commercial feel, so it's hard to decide what would have an impact. I think More Than Life is radio friendly (well Radio 2 friendly anyway ;-) ) It's got a great build and finish, which might catch attention.

I think Requiem would be the next most radio friendly song. He could even go with the title track (great lyrics)
reqieum would be best choice as 3rd single but either way a third release wont do much unless he promotes like crazy which wont happen. Gary performed on the late late show here in ireland he sang let me go and back for good and done a good interview.o
Requiem has the most radio appeal or wide appeal of the tracks but Gary like many others competing in the charts today will bot achieve a 3rd hit from the album unless as mentioned he does serious promotion. That said, even for him to get 2 hits of the album in this day and age is good, after that all we can but hope is the remaining singles can keep the album in the charts.
Let Me Go sold 33k last week so over 160k in 3 weeks!
He performed Greatest Day and Let Me Go on the RVP so hopefully that'll give it a boost
Whats RVP?

Sorry, the Royal Variety Performance
