Disco Love had its 100th play on Radio 1 this morning. It's beaten quite a lot of Saturdays (and other artists') songs that were actually A-listed. wasn't it's playlist's run C-C-B-B-Out?

'Disco Love' has eventually been increased to 99p - lets watch it bomb out the top 1500 tomorrow.

Thanks! I hesitated to post it because I didn't want to look like a complete loon (as if I don't seem like one already) so I'm glad someone else appreciated it :)

#4 on UK iTunes behind three new entries!

Had they released the following / previous week they would have been top 3.

Maybe if Disco Love went top 3 and Not Giving Up was released a bit earlier both tracks and the album would have been far more successful. Radios could not ignore that.

Agreed. Waiting six months after Disco Love to release Not Giving Up was the dumbest thing. It killed all the momentum Disco Love created.

The thing that killed it off was the album flopping, which no amount of shifting release dates would have prevented at that point. Radio saw the album's chart run and refused to playlist 'Not Giving Up', whether it was 3 months or 6 months after.

I really think it was 'Gentleman' that did it, 'Disco Love' being a fluke minor top 5 hit wasn't quite enough to save them sadly.

'Disco Love' was a minor hit because Radio 1 just happened to fall in total love with the song itself, which happens sometimes. Definitely a fluke.

I remember how it got the odd play here and there every week. At some point during the Not Giving Up "era", they were actually playing 'Disco Love' instead of it, etc, etc.

Disco Love also had very strong promo!
I started a new job and they constantly play The Sats! Disco Love and Notorious were played during my first day haha.

Lucky! I once heard Notorious in a store here in America and nearly had a heart attack.
