I've not been feeling Elementary as much this season so wouldn't be too gutted if it got cancelled (especially if it meant TGW was safe again). Been a good few years since CBS did away with a second year drama but it can't be dragged to syndication with ratings like that!

And it's probably Lucy Liu's best ever role (O-Ren Ishii excepted).

Yeah Elementary will be very lucky to make it past this season I think, if it does it'll be shunted to Friday because those numbers are terrible.

Probably, but I'm sure financially the gains of having a 6th season of TGW or a 7th of TM would be much more (given their syndication deals) than a 3rd season of Elementary. I may of course be entirely wrong, however and I don't expect either of the above to be back anyway, just theorising.

I think it's a very interesting thing to look at and can show stuff that we can't gather from 18-49 alone (in terms of other demos). The Mindy Project being one example, no way should it be close to NCIS if we look at 18-49, but it helps to show the value of 18-34

As much as I enjoy BatB, it is a dreadful show and is not long for this world :(

 

With five good performing shows, it's clear what direction The CW need to take.

the CW should've gone with The Selection after TVD this year, Reign just isn't gonna do it. I think next year they'll have Flash which could do well, and Supernatural will probably move again to Mondays to rescue yet another night - they'll need a base of strong shows before this one says its final goodbye.
