October 17, 201311 yr Do vinyl singles and albums count in the official chart? This question makes me feel really old :)
October 17, 201311 yr I swear I've seen at least one 'vinyl revival' story every year since at least about 2005 if not earlier. Reading the actual story suggests it's just a couple of releases (Daft Punk, David Bowie, Arctics etc) that have pushed it to above average levels, not some huge new trend or anything.
October 17, 201311 yr For any younger readers. Vinyls are those big black discs that dont fit into your CD player! :P
October 17, 201311 yr Author This question makes me feel really old :) As one of the 'oldies' here, I still have a significant vinyl collection, but no current means to play them... Edited October 18, 201311 yr by vidcapper
October 17, 201311 yr For any younger readers. Vinyls are those big black discs that dont fit into your CD player! :P I should tell you that myself and many people from my school have vinyls! :D I really want to get more but they are very expensive and ones from charity shops are quite tatty (I'm very picky with buying second-hand music at the best of times!). You would think with the resurge in popularity in recent years would encourage shops/record labels to reduce the prices.
October 18, 201311 yr I got Random Access Memories on vinyl. I generally dont buy new releases. I prefer old dance 12" and 80s compilations and singles.
