Posted November 5, 201311 yr France has not held a national final to select their Eurovision entry since 2007, when Les Fatals Picards won the right to represent them in Helsinki. Since then, all of their entries had been selected internally. It has now been made public that their representative for Copenhagen will be chosen by the public, who will be presented with a choice of three songs selected by a panel of experts, who will be joined by a fan selected randomly, out of all the submissions that they receive. The panel decision will be made on 26 November. The actual selection will be made during the broadcast of Les Chansons d’Abord, a Sunday music show hosted by Natasha St. Pier, who represented France in 2001 coming 4th (France’s best result since 1991, tied with equal 4th placings in 1993 and 1995). The date of the show remains unknown. Edited January 8, 201411 yr by Jerick
January 8, 201411 yr The French national broadcaster has released the titles of the 3 songs that will compete in the 2014 French Eurovision national selection. The 3 entries will be presented on January 26 on France 3's Chansons D'Aboard television show. Destan - Sans Toi Joanna - Ma Liberté Twin Twin - Moustache
January 8, 201411 yr Destan are truly abysmal and TT are just no. Is Joanna the same one from Star Academy? She's alright but I'm not overly optimistic tbh. She's a good singer but all of her songs so far have been average. Eeeeek France. :(
January 23, 201411 yr If you're in the mood for some power balladry, then potentially France will be your thing this year: Joanna's song: ?v=gXNDuNAYIdc
January 23, 201411 yr Throw in a bit of a beat and it sounds something that Kenza Farah would sing circa 2007. Not bad!
March 2, 201411 yr The results of this selection will be revealed on a show beginning at 4pm UK time today, so in just over an hour. Apparently it is extremely likely that the winning artist will be Twin Twin. I've listened to 'Moustache' and I do quite like it!
March 2, 201411 yr I haven't heard Joanna's song but she released a new version of it a couple of weeks ago. In case you aren't aware you can listen below, I don't know if there are any significant changes:
March 2, 201411 yr Oh they've added in some more drums into the build up, works rather well if you ask me.
March 7, 201411 yr So I'm ashamed to say this has grown on me immensely for the last few days :o It's just SO catchy, am I the only one thinking so?
March 7, 201411 yr Doing the whole Major Lazer Pon De Floor schtick in the chorus, aren't they?
March 13, 201411 yr Doing the whole Major Lazer Pon De Floor schtick in the chorus, aren't they? Haha this, I thought I was the only one hearing the Pon De Floor sample during the chorus
