That poster. What an embarrassment. :( So many of you kept saying that wasn't the official poster. Well it is. I don't understand. She does a zillion photo shoots, we even got 4 covers for Venus. And no new artwork for artrave :nono:

There is still 2 months before the first show! :D

I highly doubt we're getting an official poster for artRAVE. It was cancelled with the DWUW video when Gaga fired her management

Herald Sun:

Lady Gaga tops Justin

Timberlake as music gig

ticket prices soar

http://api.news.com.au/content/1.0/heraldsun/images/1226847402599.jpg

CASHED-up Australian music fans can now

buy everything from early entry, assuring

front row access, to use of a VIP toilet at

concerts — at the right price.

Australian tours by Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Robbie

Williams, Kanye West and Justin Timberlake have

all gone on sale around the same time,

demonstrating new high-end ticketing options.

However only one is offering the usual meet and

greet with fans — Lady Gaga.

Her little monsters will have to stump up $1500

to throw their paws up in a professional photo

with their hero during her August tour.

CONCERTS? COMMENT BELOW

The $1500 package also includes a seat in an

elevated viewing area on stage and access to a

pre-show party as well as memorabilia.

Justin Timberlake fans can pay $1500 for two

seats at a VIP table on his September tour, but

the pricey package does not include any face

time with the star.

With an average ticket price of $130 for the five

acts, fans will have to choose wisely, due to a

large audience crossover among the stars.

Major concerts have become luxury items,” Paul

Cashmere of music website Noise 11 said. When

ticket prices are at an highest high music fans are

forced to choose and that means the winner

needs to be unique. Having a current hit record

or a back catalogue of classics and not touring

Australia too often will help the audience choose.

“Gaga and Kanye will find it harder to compete

against Timberlake and Williams. Remember

Australia’s population is about 60-per-cent that of

California. Some of these tours will struggle.”

The shows capitalise on a new initiative —

charging extra to allow fans early entry to the

venue to get front row positions.

Lady Gaga is charging $355 for ‘early entry’

tickets which allows cashed-up Little Monsters to

skip the general admission queue.

Katy Perry’s top VIP package is a $500 option

with early entry to the ‘reflection section’ at the

front of the stage, as well as a dedicated VIP

bathroom.

tickets.

The package also has a special VIP entry at the

venue and a VIP express lane at the merchandise

stall, as well as exclusive VIP merchandise.

Perry is borrowing the Bon Jovi trick of having a

limited amount of tickets selling for $39.90 for

budget-conscious fans who are quick off the

mark.

Kanye West fans can pay $319 for an early entry

package, or $450 for a VIP Party Package, which

gives access to a 90 minute pre-show event but

no access to the controversial rapper beyond

watching him on stage.

Tickets for the ‘inner pit’ at Robbie Williams’

September tour cost $239, but there are no

options for VIP early entry.

Paying for early entry could wipe out the long

tradition of fans queuing for hours, often

overnight, to be front row at a concert once doors

open.

Robbie Williams ... charging $239 for ‘inner

pit’ tickets.

Kanye West ... charging $450 for a VIP Party

Package.

The VIP ticket is just the artists earning some

extra pocket money,” Cashmere said. It doesn’t

make or break a tour nor does it pay for a tour.

Fans will decide if they want to spend the

additional bucks on a VIP pass. It really does

come down to supply and demand.”

Promoters will be hoping for multiple shows by all

the acts in each city.

So far Robbie Williams has two shows in each

state (he is skipping Adelaide) with room to add

more depending on demand.

Williams’ stint at Rod Laver Arena meant Justin

Timberlake has had to play Etihad Stadium in

Melbourne, which will be in “arena” mode.

Lady Gaga could be the act to suffer most; after

soft album sales she is yet to add second shows in

any market — her 2012 tour saw Gaga play five

shows at Rod Laver Arena alone and 14 dates

nationally.

Kanye West has second shows in Sydney and

Melbourne on sale, but his tight schedule could

prohibit extra shows in other states.

Timberlake’s tickets go on sale on March 7, after

strong pre-sales this week, and promoters have

allowed room to add extra shows.

Katy Perry tickets go on sale next Tuesday, with

two shows in Melbourne and Sydney already

announced and room for more factored in.

Billboard:

Live Nation Slams 'Ridiculous' Reports about artRAVE

Reports that ticket sales for Lady Gaga's

artRave: the ARTPOP Ball tour are struggling

are "ridiculous," according to Athur Fogel,

Chairman of Live Nation's Global Touring

division, producers of the tour.

Ticket sales for North America and

Europe are at 80% capacity sold , Fogel

tells Billboard, even though the tour doesn't

begin in America until May, and Europe in the

fall. "The run with Gaga over the last two

tours has been incredibly successful, and this

one is shaping up no differently," Fogel says.

He adds that Live Nation will announce

an additional six Gaga shows in North

America in the coming weeks (including

a second in Los Angeles), as well as

more dates in the U.K., including a

fourth O2 show in London.

Fogel says the 29 shows that are on sale in

North America have already grossed $26

million in ticket sales, which averages out to a

healthy nightly take of nearly $900,000 per-

show. Referring to published reports that

Gaga's June show at the Marcus

Amphitheater in Milwaukee was "flopping,"

Fogel says, "When something like Milwaukee

specifically comes up, that show has sold

14,264 tickets, the gross is $961,000, and

it's at the end of June. I just don't know how

this **** gets any traction without people

doing their homework."

As to reports that Live Nation, a publicly

traded company, has lost $30 million on

Gaga's tour, Fogel laughs. "Just a complete

fool would say something like that," he says,

"and it could only come from somebody who

has an agenda, because it makes absolutely

no sense, on any level."

If a tour was losing that kind of money, or

even much less, most likely the promoter

would take action. "Forget $30 million, if it

were actually true, you'd say 'pull the plug,'"

says Fogel, a veteran promoter who has

steered many of the highest grossing tours in

history, including mega-tours by the likes of

U2 and Madonna.

Whatever the performance of Lady Gaga's

latest album "ARTPOP," the artist has, earlier

in her career than most, built a reputation as

a compelling live act, which creates a

dynamic apart from an album's success, or

lack thereof. Gaga's previous two tours were

unqualified blockbusters, with both Monster's

Ball in 2010-11 and Born This Way Ball in

2012 each finishing among the highest-

grossing tours of the year on Billboard's

Boxscore chart.

SPILLING THAT MOTHERf***ING ACID TEA ON THE HATERS~

It's examiner.com that constantly puts out the Gaga shade though, don't know why people even read such shit! I hope that tea burnt them!!!
This truly made my day! I'm really happy! :cheer: Not that there was any doubt in my mind that artRave will be a huge success, but it's always nice to see individuals who have the proper knowledge & credible receipts to come forward and erase any doubt, brought on by the haters! Gaga is a touring force and there's no denying that. Even other fan bases know this! Go ahead Queen, get those benjis & recognition!
$26 million. Such a flop!
Gaga wins on stage, at any point of her career. Gaga comes alive in front of an audience and I'd say is the best showcase of her talents and charisma. No doubt her ticket sales would be strong......
New management already proving to be worth its weight in gold with the best pro-Gaga article witnessed in ages. Notice that no other touring company has come out in support of other artists who are also claimed to not be selling well? That's because in Gaga's case, it was actually false, so her team don't feel the need to be quiet about it. And why should they? This is not fan bias speaking. The mostly sold out interactive maps, LiveNation tweeting reports of sell outs and now the chairman of the company speaking out about how Gaga is slaying is there in black and white. The artRave will be a smash. And I highly suspect it's only the first part of what is soon to be a much more extended tour supporting the sequel. Who knows, we might even break the MB's total.
