I've just read that artRAVE won't be filmed in London which in other words mean we won't be getting a DVD AGAIN

http://usatthebiglead.files.wordpress.com/2013/02/throw-table-catch-chair.gif

So I went last night, had a pretty fabulous time :D My god the support acts were shocking though. This Breed Love thing? Sex O'Clock? More like CRINGE O'CLOCK. And Lady Starlight was f***ing horrendous and I never want to hear a dance song ever again lmao.

Gaga BROUGHT IT though, took me a few songs to properly get into it but I had a fantastic time, sang along to a lot of it and really enjoyed myself. Bad Romance and Applause were my main highlights, and Gypsy was the PERFECT ending song. She brought up a gay couple just before Born This Way who threw a letter on stage, it was a beautiful moment and I almost cried  Something else I noticed was that a lot of songs has the second verse + chorus cut out, was a bit confused at first but I assume it was so she could fit in more songs in total, which makes sense I guess and I'd rather, say, Telephone got performed yet cut short, than not performed at all.

Overall it was GREAT and I'd definitely go again to see Gaga  Would make sure to avoid the support acts though lol.

Is this the first time you've seen The Gagaz Joseph? Thanks for the review hunni http://i.imgur.com/hN9L5Hj.gif

(I never took you as a Gaga fan tbh.)

On another note, I'm still heartbroken about there being no SA dates AND no dvd, I'm going to be watching 96kb/s quality versions on YT for the rest of my life :(

Gaga said this at the London show? Was anyone there? :drama:

Birmingham Reviews:

The Guardian: Lady Gaga review – mother of all fightbacks

4/5 stars

One of the many subtexts of this sweary performance is to prove that ARTPOP isn’t a popflop, and songs such as the electro-soul Do What U Want have been thoroughly turbocharged. Hearts momentarily sink as she declares: “If you’ve just come for the hits, go home!” But she plays them – Just Dance, Bad Romance, Poker Face and the rest, too.

When she’s alone at the piano, addiction song Dope and a torch reworking of Sonny Bono’s Bang Bang affirm her newfound credentials as the formidable jazz singer whose album of duets with Tony Bennett is currently topping the charts in the US. The most extraordinary moment comes when she movingly reads aloud a letter from a young gay fan, who joins her with his boyfriend as she sings Born This Way through hugs and tears. Gaga has often been accused of being all artifice and no heart, but tonight’s show is a powerful statement from a star who refuses to be pinned down or written off.

The Independent: Lady Gaga, NIA, Birmingham, review: The Monster Queen's artRAVE was fun, but the manifesto a bit cloying

4/5 stars

Devoted Little Monsters came to worship at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena last night. But Lady Gaga's performance was as much inspirational speaker as pop sensation

She then hits us with the golden trilogy of “Just Dance”, “Telephone” and “Poker Face” - which sound dynamic and precise yet also fiery and propulsive. Although nothing matches the explosiveness of “You and I”.

While artRAVE is loud, colourful and frequently emblematic of feel-good, throwaway party times, it seems at the heart of this gargantuan, intangible production that Gaga is trying to forge a deeper connection. For the devoted and infatuated it seems to be effective, for the rest of us it seems merely like a meticulously crafted pop show.

The Telegraph: Lady Gaga, Birmingham NIA, review: the one thing you could never accuse her of is a sense of proportion

4/5 stars

Lady Gaga arrives through a trap door in a cloud of dry ice wearing a glitter swimsuit and golden feathery spider wings surrounded by goosestepping cyber strippers while a live band pump out throbbing electro rock. Is this a pop concert, fashion parade or performance art happening? Gaga has long aimed at a combination of all three, and her current tour comes closer to pulling that off than ever before.

You might think it would be hard to maintain a sense of artistic persecution if you are one of the most successful pop stars on the planet but one thing you could never accuse Lady Gaga of is a sense of proportion. The sense of absolute commitment, sensual bombardment and imaginative bravado in Gaga's artRAVE represent her very own triumph of the will.

I wish Gaga would bite me :( Have you met her Kath? She only had to look at me and i was on the floor in a pool of tears.

I wish Gaga would bite me :( Have you met her Kath? She only had to look at me and i was on the floor in a pool of tears.

When she came to SA for the BTWB in December 2012, I stalked her when she arrived at the airport and her hotel. I had Government Hooker tickets (right in fronnt of the ramp) so I could literally touch her and came close so many times if it weren't for the security :(

The best moment of my life was when she appeared out the stage during 'LoveGame' and kept eye contact with me for an entire minute and did the whole song right opposite me http://i.imgur.com/wA7WJPu.gif I cried black pools of mascara the entire show. And screamed like a baby when she chose other people to come onstage and not me

I know exactly how you feel Toby!! Words cannot describe her majestic presence http://i.imgur.com/wA7WJPu.gif

One of the admin of the most italian famous page went to the backstage in London and this is what Gaga said:

On the 26th of October, in the artRAVE's backstage, Lady Gaga sang a new song in which she talks about Michael Jackson and its success 'Billie Jean'. Probably the song's name is "Sire". During the Q&A, a girl asked Gaga if she could sing "The Edge Of Glory" for her since the song is her wedding's song. Despite Gaga was tired, she sang it anyway. Lady Gaga is also confirmed that she is recording new songs for her new album and maybe she will record an acoustic album and she confirmed that she is afraid of depression. She said that she doesn't care about Do What U Want leak too because It wasn't her to release it. A fan asked her if she was ready for the space performance and she answered "YES" but she couldn't talk about that.

"Sire" has been rumoured as a new song before. Still waiting for my "Brooklyn Nights" release...someone ask her about that FFS!

Gagadaily have also tweeted that the DVD is in the works but idk they haven't stated a source so~

Her ikonec performance of 'What's Up' is getting rave reviews all over the net:

Idolator

NME

Radio.com

Vulture

fuse.tv

Capital FM

NewNowNext

and more have put out articles with the video

Spin wrote the following:

But if there's one woman who fears no entry in the Sunfly songbook, it just might be Lady Gaga, who took on the 1993 crossover hit with typical full-throated elan at her ArtRave show in Vienna over the weekend, putting an oomph into her rendition that makes even Perry herself sound uncommitted by comparison.

------

Even the times on the verses where she can't quite reach the high notes, her performance is so emotionally (and physically!) invested that you can't really be anything but awed by it.

The Italian queen returned to her roots, sold-out

Yet people still have the nerve to call her irrelevant http://i.imgur.com/73qDism.gif

She's Italian?
