20. The Saturdays ft Sean Paul-What About Us

Personal Chart Run: (12-10-10-8-9-15-17-20-(x)-17-(x)-17-(x)-20-17-(x)-19)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: My original chart run for this song wasn't great but it's multiple re-entries helped it become my 20th favourite song of the year. Easily the best Saturdays song.

Commentary: Took my time to love this but is now my favourite Eminem song since Lose Yourself.

18. Lana Del Rey vs Cedric Gervais-Summertime Sadness

Personal Chart Run: (1-3-3-8-12-17-20)

U.K. Peak: 4

Commentary: It's chart run wasn't as great as most number ones in my chart this year but that's due to overplaying the song in the first week I heard it. The week this was number one in chart was the week where I enjoyed my number one the most.

17. Bingo Players ft Far East Movement-Get Up (Rattle)

Personal Chart Run: (11-15-13-18-20-19-20-15)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: This was unlucky to never chart in the top ten of my chart. I've listened to it loads all year; especially in the weeks before I started my chart. Also I love the ducks in the video.

Personal Chart Run: (16-6-5-8-9-9-9-8-10-15-19)

U.K. Peak: 17

Commentary: Iggy just misses out on having all three of her songs in the top 15. I hated this song when I first heard it but grew on my massively when I first heard Bounce.

15. PJ And Duncan-Let's Get Ready To Rhumble

Personal Chart Run: (1-3-4-9-12-10-16-20-(x)-20)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: The first number one in my charts. Obviously charted after the amazing Saturday Night Takeaway performance where they certainly out staged Blue and whoever else was on.

14. Duke Dumont ft A*M*E*-Need U (100%)

Personal Chart Run: (2-3-4-9-6-6-9-15-15-9-9-15-19-19-15)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: The 2nd highest song in this countdown not to peak at number one. (Not including Thrift Shop as that would have been if I done my chart earlier). I just looked at what beat it to the top and it was Watsky's IDGAF. This would have been a bit more deserving.

13. Iggy Azelea-Bounce

Personal Chart Run: (2-1-3-3-4-3-4-4-9-10-14-15)

U.K. Peak: 13

Commentary: If I based this countdown on points this would be equal 3rd but I didn't love it that much and it falls at 13. (Same as its UK peak). It never seemed to leave my top 5.

12. Selena Gomez-Come And Get It

Personal Chart Run: (2-3-6-7-9-16-13-10-12-15-15-18-20-19-20)

U.K. Peak: 8

Commentary: The biggest personal chart tragedy this year was this only peaking at 2 behind BREACH WITH JACK. At least some justice has been served and this is the highest song to not have been number 1(exc Thrift Shop)in here, miles ahead of Breach.

Personal Chart Run: (11-1-2-4-4-7-9-11-13-15-16)

U.K. Peak: 4

Commentary: And the unluckiest song of the year is... Earthquake. Just misses out on the top 10. I like it very similar to the number 10 and only a few more listens to the number 10 separates it.

10. Rizzle Kicks-Lost Generation

Personal Chart Run: (16-2-1-2-3-4-4-10-12-16-17-19)

U.K. Peak: 6

Commentary: Starting off the top 10 is Lost Generation by Rizzle Kicks. I love this just as much as anything on their previous album. Currently my 2nd favourite song by them behind Down With The Trumpets.

9. The Arctic Monkeys-Do I Wanna Know

Personal Chart Run: (13-10-4-1-5-8-13-17-20-16-6-9-14-17)

U.K. Peak: 11

Commentary: At 9 is the Arctic Monkeys. This is the song that made me start to love their music. The highest placed British single in my chart of 2013.

8. Jay-Z ft Justin Timberlake-Holy Grail

Personal Chart Run: (2-2-1-10-4-6-7-12-10-15-19-18-18)

U.K. Peak: 7

Commentary: Terrible music video, great song. The video kind of ruins the song but it was still one of my favourite songs of 2013 and my favourite ever by both Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake.

7. Iggy Azalea ft T.I.-Change Your Life

Personal Chart Run: (15-(x)-10-1-1-2-7-8-10-9-13-17-12)

U.K. Peak: 10

Commentary: The highest placed song from my 2nd favourite artist of 2013. She had a great year with this being her 1st ever (and quite possibly last) top 10 single and her 2nd number 1 in my chart.

6. Macklemore And Ryan Lewis ft Wanz-Thrift Shop

Personal Chart Run: (7-10-14-19-16-17-19)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: A song which would have been a massive multi-week number one in my chart if it had started earlier. This was Macklemore and Ryan Lewis's first charting song in the U.K. and was one of the most catchy songs of the year.

5. 2 Chainz ft Wiz Khalifa-We Own It (Fast And Furious)

Personal Chart Run: (6-1-1-3-1-8-7-11-10-18-19-(x)-17-13-17-(x)-15)

U.K. Peak: 6

Commentary: Before this song I had never heard of 2 Chainz and had never seen a Fast And Furious film. Even though it was on the film I find this one of the most shocking top 10 songs of the year. I'm not sure why the music video shortens the song but unfortunately it does.

4. OneRepublic-Counting Stars

Personal Chart Run: (2-1-2-1-7-4-7-7-10-9-11-10-11-15-17)

U.K. Peak: 1

Commentary: From one of the most shocking top 10's of the year to one of the most shocking number ones. I disliked them before this song but this song is too good to hate. The top 6 in my chart are so close this could have easily been my number one or my number 6.

3. Macklemore And Ryan Lewis ft Ray Dalton-Can't Hold Us

Personal Chart Run: (16-11-3-1-2-4-4-8-11-12-12-18-16-19-12-18)

U.K. Peak: 3

Commentary: I thought after Thrift Shop, Macklemore would soon be forgotten (like Gotye) and I certainly didn't think I would like another one of his songs as much as Thrift Shop. But Can't Hold Us is amazing and was so close to being my favourite of the year. Fun Fact: This is the only song in my top 5 that never regained my number one after falling from the top.
