One of the biggest hits of the year is next, Katy Perry's long awaited comeback came in the form of 'Roar' last August. With a video nothing short of a 10/10, it was always going to be a success. It would've spent longer at number 1 in my personal chart, had it not been for another track which is still to come.

At #7 is the biggest hit for Sandebörg at BJSC, 'Dance Our Tears Away'. 2nd in the original contest and then 2nd in TBO last month is amazing so thank you to everyone who has supported the song. John de Sohn is starting to make a name for himself in his native Sweden, hopefully there'll be an album soon enough!

The one to beat this year? Unless the song is awful then I think so. 'Begging' was far and away my favourite entry from last year's Melodifestivalen. A song that was seemingly tailor made for Eric Saade circa 2011, but after he went all 'grown-up' the song was passed onto his former backing dancer Anton. How I would've loved this to have gone to Malmö.

The scandipop song of the year is at #5. Icona Pop took the world by storm in 2013 with the massive hit 'I Love It'. With a brilliant debut album under their belts and a slot supporting Katy Perry on tour later this year, 2014 looks set to be another great year for the girls.

2013 will go down in history as the year The Saturdays become relevant in the UK charts as they got they first ever #1 last March. It'll also go down as the 4th year when they buggered it all up again. 'What About Us' is full of hooks and is reminiscent of earlier hits such as 'All Fired Up' and 'Notorious'. Hopefully they can crawl it back when they announce 'Not Giving Up' as a single soon right girls? Right??

What a year for Avicii, who knows where his career can go forwards, 2013 was his year. 'Wake Me Up' will forever remind me of last summer in particular my trip to Newcastle where I think every club had it on rotation!

Finishing in 2nd then in Cascada with their Eurovision effort 'Glorious'. Tagged by many as a copy of the almighty 'Euphoria' saw it fail quite spectacularly in Malmö when it limped home in 22nd place. A total injustice for me and the first time my favourite ESC track hasn't gone top 5 since Charlotte Perrelli back in 2008. I also recommend you listen to the acoustic version of this which appeared on their acoustic album (funnily enough), it's brilliant.

And so it's The Saturdays who can follow in Loreen's footsteps as they take the crown for best track of 2013. 'Disco Love' is fun, catchy, cheesy, upbeat and camp, which is everything I want in a Saturdays song. The song was a moderate hit in the UK chart, reaching #5 in October last year, however it failed to do anything for the album, which has been yet ANOTHER disaster for them. Oh well, I'm sure there's a 'This Morning' gig going begging.
