December 24, 200618 yr Author Well it's time to reveal my favourite Eurovision song of all time! Okay maybe it's quite predictable but I don't care!! :D 1. ISRAEL 1979 - Gali Atari feat. Milk And Honey - Hallelujah Well here it is! Wow. It's almost as if this song was made for me!! It's just the perfect song. I love songs that start off very humble as this one does with Gali singing with a piano, and builds throughout as this one does with the boys and the orchestra gradually joining in, to a huge climax. I wish I had a copy of the 1999 contest when the performers gathered to sing this as the finale! It's one of those spine-tingling songs that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end! If ever there was a worthy winner of the contest, this is it. In fact, could you really imagine this song not winning? It would have been such a disappointment, given the kind of song, if it had not won. It has always been my favourite Eurovision song, but it's lead most certainly increased last year when I was lucky enough to meet Gali Atari :D She was very nice, but sadly a brief hello and a few pleasantries was all I managed before she had to take a phone call and started talking in Hebrew. Oh well, here is my all time favourite Eurovision song. It was originally performed in Hebrew, with the English version below. So here it is. Hallelujah!! Hope you've enjoyed it. Merry Christmas! :D Edited December 24, 200618 yr by Peter30

January 11, 200718 yr Author No Portuguese songs in your top! Anyway, good #1, a true ESC classic. If it's any consolation, Lucia Moniz and Rita Guerra just missed the cut :P
January 11, 200718 yr Author no Macedonian entries 2 :( tho good songs inside your faves gotta say :D Can't give as much consolation about the Macedonian entries I'm afraid. Well I suppose "Life" from 2004 came quite close - it would be my favourite Macedonian entries. And watching XXL in 2000 remains one of my favourite Eurovision memories - for all the wrong reasons :D
