The Vamps are apparently releasing their new single the same week as 'Not Giving Up' is being released.

Typical.

Of course The Saturdays cannot compete with the 5 physicals and 12 different digital versions The Vamps fans will buy in the first week.

Not Giving Up on Radio 1 RIGHT NOW.

Hmm - It's not on the radio 1 website that 'Not Giving Up' has been played or on the radio 1 now playing twitter feed.

I heard it and it sounds dreadful

As awful as The Vamps are:

A) they didn't get #1 either of the other times with their 118721762712 different versions

B) The Saturdays won't get #1 with a post album single anyway!

I really don't think it 'being a post album single' affects this release. A measly 23k people have bought the album. - basically the same core fan-base that will probably buy all the single mix and bundles anyway. Ego and Higher are two of the Sats' biggest sellers (from albums that sold 3x/9x more than LFTW copies, no less), if they'd done an 'album only' release with those singles, who knows what might have happened.

I'm not saying this song is a sure-fire to shoot to number 1 or even top 5, because it's far too early to tell, and a lot of other things need to be taken into account until then, but it certainly has the potential to chart high with a strong campaign.

You just never know with The Saturdays. Weren't people predicting What About Us would miss the top ten at one point?

Anyway, rant over.

If you want to hear Rochelle on Radio 1, and NGU's first play - it's here. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03tj2zl (She's on around 48minutes in)

This, basically.

They really need to get more views. It's crazy to think that just 10% of Frankie's and the group's followers on Twitter and Facebook have watched the video. Those more than a million people are interested in them enough to get regular updates on them, but they haven't bothered to watch their latest video yet!

It's an annoying practice, but they really need to tweet about the video at all times. At least for the next seven days. I mean, Frankie retweeted the group's first link with the video and she hasn't tweeted anything since then!

If only, Frankie even though she has the most amount of followers rarely posts anything about the group. She posts the link to a new sinlge at the start of the week, but nothing after that. Una is the best for posting stuff, like on the night of the premier of the video she stayed up to tweet about it, when the other girls didn't. I do agree that if they used it to their advantage they could get more views/sales.

145,000 views in 2 days.

Has this impacted television yet?

OMG Rochelle on Radio 1!

She was not impressed to be the peasant that is Frankie. She was like "Oh. Well, I'm ok with that." Secretly she was screaming on the inside. Clearly she picked Vanessa because she's only only one who comes close to her vocal ability, if she had to downgrade to one of them.

But Frankie made the video for me

EDIT: Would rank the video within my top six videos probably.
