Armenian representative announced on December 31st

Many rumours and a lot of excitement have already been created surrounding the Armenian participation in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest. On New Year's Eve, finally, we will get to know the representative, who has been internally selected, as the Armenian public broadcaster AMPTV announced today.

In the Big Night Gala TV Show, which will be broadcast on Armenia's First Channel on December 31st, Eurovision fans from all over Europe will finally find out who will represent the country in Copenhagen. The candidate has already been internally selected, as AMPTV announced today.

During the live broadcast on New Year's Eve, the singer will be revealed, and sing one of their most popular hits. The actual Eurovision song will be chosen and presented by February.

In 2013, Armenia was represented by Dorians, who sang Lonely Planet in Malmö. The country's most successful Eurovision entry to date has been Sirusho, who came fourth in 2008 with Qélé Qélé.

There are rumours that Sirusho could be returning according to ESCForum.net, but I seem to remember that Sirusho was also rumoured last year and in the end it was Dorians who represented Armenia.

From ESC Xtra:

Just as it was revealed last week that the artist who has been internally selected by AMPTV would be unveiled on this TV show and would be performing one of their biggest hits, a few minutes ago the Armenian representative has been announced. A famous showman, comedian and singer Aram MP3 will represent Armenia in Copenhagen this year and will fight to bring victory to his country.

Aram MP3 is a famous comedian who runs a notable comedy show in Armenia called Vitamin Club. Several years ago he started performing as a solo singer having concerts in Yerevan and in other cities of Armenia. He shot to fame by making covers of world-famous hits and have presented his own songs lately. Aram MP3 is a composer of several famous songs among which different kinds of cooperation with famous Armenian artists can be mentioned.

The Big Night Gala TV Show gathered all the Armenian celebrities among which Armenian representatives of the Eurovision and Junior Eurovision Songs Contests Andre, Emmy, Sirusho, Inga & Anush, Eva Rivas and also the stars of the Junior Eurovision from Armenia. Among possible representatives Sirusho has been mostly gossiped about coming back to Eurovision. She sang her PreGomesh accompanied by a group of dancers making her performance flawless.

All the details about the song and about the performance of the Armenian representative are due in February.

EscXtra Team wishes luck to Aram MP3 in Copenhagen.

Apparently it is called 'Not Alone' now! :D
Wow, it's really nice :o Kinda sounds like Awolnation's 'Sail'.
It's Armenia's best in a while, but it's not the favourite I was depending on them for.

Well dress me up as Valentina Monetta and send me to Eurovision in 2015, I did NOT expect their entry to be good but it is :o

The car scenes in the video are BEYOND cringey though. Just no

This is very decent, not one of my favourite entries at the moment but definitely a good entry!

The video has also been re-uploaded it seems, the new link is below:

After listening to it again the song has already grown on me a lot! Very good entry! :D

Surprisingly nice! I very much approve of the strings. I thought I was listening to a new John Newman single or something. (I downloaded it last night but hadn't tagged it and it came on shuffle).
After only 3 days this is absolutely SMASHING on the official youtube channel. By far the most views so far out of all the songs with 500k+ (except for, weirdly, Montenegro, who are like only 100k behind!)

Armenia vs. Montenegro for the Eurovision crown? :o The latter doing well would be impressive seeing as so many Eastern countries pulled out and it's not exactly a Western sounding track.

The UK video has a pleasing amount of views on that channel compared to usual too!

I'm sure Igranka was doing very well on views at this point last year too. Would certainly be happy about them getting some success though.
Yeah but Igranka was, let's face it, more of a FUN entry. Both of these are very much serious and Montenegrin success is a bit of a surprise.
I still don't get this entry... It's average at best. Sometimes I just don't understand why some songs connect with Europe!
I really struggle to see how this is a favourite. Overblown and style over substance. The dubstep bit is frankly rubbish.
