~70.5k, 7.5k to 9/11

Looking back through the records, 2013 is the first year that we have had four singles sell a million within the calender year since 1998!
Interesting how the majority of the 10+ peaking singles that made the top 100 were guitar/indie based songs, especially as that genre was once seen as quite frontloaded and 'fanbase' in nature around five/six years ago

Presumably because radio likes to pretend they don't exist. A lot do really well on streaming as well as it's a more album-based format.

BTW, if you're wondering who *just* missed out...

By my reckoning :

Singles

#101 Paramore - Still Into You (around 500 short)

Albums

#101 Will.i.Am - Willpower (around (1500 short)

*****

Also, the #200 sales level

S ~96k

A ~45k

When will the Top 200 be available?

Someone said earlier in the thread its usually in a couple of months time!

Yes, see page 4. :)

Some members thought that "Loved Me Back To Life" was a hit because of its peak (#14)..60.000 copies doesn't make a hit..Her album sales are great though!!! Eliza Doolittle had the most disappointed sales for me. Her debut album was very successful but her second album failed so hard.."Still Into You" was so close.. :o

ISTM virtually anyone who has ever followed the charts would call a #14 a hit!

How much has The Saturdays' Living for the Weekend album sold?
Would I possibly be able to see the Sales of Lawson - Learn To Love Again, Brokenhearted and Juliet please? :P
Delighted that Agnetha Faltskog made the albums list! :D

Very happy with Robin Thicke being the No.1 single of the year, as in my opinion, it is indeed the best song of the year.

Sorry - no Pixie single or album charted in 2013

DL 120k

Surely LFTW has passed 20,000 by now!? :(

Almost certainly - but it's no longer charting, and not in the YTD T200, so it doesn't meet my tracking criteria.

Yeah, a lot of stations never play those songs, so a lot of the general public take longer to discover them (if they do at all), hence the more spread out sales. That's my theory anyway.

I think also now that sales have started declining, artists can chart higher on fanbase sales again in the future.
