Fourth is still too high! It really is an awful, awful album. They were never imbued with copious amounts of personality, but that is truly one of the most faceless, generic collections of songs ever put together. It's not even a batch of GOOD faceless, generic songs either, which makes it all the more awful.

I have to disagree. I don't think LFTW or OYR are anymore faceless than the other three albums.
I think b-grade pop (the first 2.5 albums) has a certain charm to it, whereas their current generic dance sound is charmless and therefore even more generic sounding. I fully accept that a lot of people disagree with that notion, but it's their direction post-Headlines has killed my love for them - at one point they were my favourite (active) group!

Oh yes your opinion is all fine, ha, didn't mean it that way! ;) It depends on what type you prefer I suppose. ^^

I think they do "pop" music just like anyone else (same for pop-rnb, or pop-electro actually), but they do the best 'dance-pop' you can get from a girlgroup (even more than just girlgroups I'd say), so I prefer them in that kind of music...but I understand the ones who miss the Chasing Lights days when they were all colorful, camp and straight pop, I just don't feel the same way. :P

I'd rather have a wordshaker album again :( lose Control seems fresh even today

The right winner, but Living For The Weekend is by far the worst.

Wish I'd voted in this now.

Nah I disagree, I think after 30 days, it goes downhill until the likes of You Don't Have The Right and Wildfire but I wouldn't say its the worst!

Headlines is the worst :P

Headlines is a near perfect pop album as far as I'm concerned. I even love Missing You these days! It's chock full of bright/fun pop songs, with massive hooks and good production. It's basically everything I could want from a b-grade pop act, and that coupled with the tour that followed was their absolute peak in terms of my love/enjoyment of them and their music.

AGREED! I know I don't like wordshaker but they improve the version of forever is over by cutting out the long "oooooo's" at the start and extended exit at the end, Karma and Higher were PERFECT! The tour (from what I watched on Youtube) looked amazing but yes, totally agree it is a perfect pop album!

It depends which one your on about. The original 8 track album or the full 12 track. The 8 track was complete tripe. Then12 track one had every song the sats stood for!

Karma, Lose Control and Missing You are so average...

AVERAGE? No way D:

I disagree, the 8 track EP is pure perfection, with One Shot (Remix), Higher, Ego, Karma and Died In Your Eyes all basically 10/10 moments. Lose Control is a true gem though and Here Standing is very good, but Deeper is quite awful and the Flo Rida remix of Higher takes away the middle 8 and thus renders it about 50% less good.

If it wasn't for No One being absolutely shit, Lose Control would definitely be the shittiest track on there for me. It's so cheesy and campy in the wrong way and the production is beyond cheap in my opinion. I just can't. And Vanessa's ad-libs at the end aren't even as nice as people pretend them to be. I mean I even prefer Deeper and 2am to it!
