115. 50 CENT FT. EMINEM & ADAM LEVINE - MY LIFE (-78 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 3
OCC PEAK: 2 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 8
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 6
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 7
POSITIVE VOTES: 17
NEGATIVE VOTES: 43
RUN: 7-8-10
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE -26

50 Cent and Adam Levine's sole entry onto the list, yet Eminem's first of four. "My Life" sticks to very much to the formulae of modern rap artists breaking through on mainstream radio by having a pop singer sing the chorus, despite its unoriginality it almost bagged 50 Cent his first OCC #1. There's nothing of great importance to know by the track however it doesn't to me have the feel of a normal 50 Cent track, and comes out a bit pedestrian.

How is 'Clown' that high? :/ Does Calum have that much power in this game?

I'm not sure if he voted regularly in the game during Clown's chart run, if he did he could only gave it a "+5" one of its five weeks.

Although I was pleasantly surprised how much I liked his 2012 effort "She Doesn't Mind", this one failed to impress, coming in last in its respective week. I understand why, unless you're a Sean Paul fan this does little to impress the casual listener with its forgettable lyrics & melody.

I was not sure what to expect when I heard that these two artists were going to collaborate, given I find both of their output quite hit-and-miss. But, I was pleasantly surprised. It had a catchy chorus and the verses weren't too bad either. Still not their best, but far from their worst as well. Robbie's done this year, Dizzee's still got two left.

Scratch that, Dizzee has only "Bassline Junkie" representing him in the chart now this year, whilst Will.I.Am still has "Scream & Shout" left. By the way, in order to try and say something about each song I give it a listen on Youtube first, and I warn you not to listen to this song with a pre-existing headache as it will only worsen. The song really is turgid and a good example of the "miss" I was talking about before.

Union J may not have lived up to the lofty expectations of Louis Walsh but they still got two T10s out of their first two releases, this being the second. The best you can say about this song is that the vocals and harmonies are quite good, the song fails to deliver anything substansial though, and it is what I would describe as filler. BL finishes higher than SRB as it recieved one "+5" compared to Dizzee's none.

The Wanted make their first appearance in this countdown, with two more chances left. The song has quite a catchy melody but the lyrics really let this song down. It's one of the more unusual namechecks i've heard in song, and the poor girl who they're singing it too . She can't sing or dance and looks better with your eyes closed. Yet her emulating Rihanna's walk is the best compliment you can throw at her, what does it even mean, is it literal or are they talking about her ass? A strong contender for stupidest T10 of the year.

So close and yet so far to Union J, with both of their songs crashing out before the T100, ah well at least they're still pretty. To be honest, I don't mind this song, it's quite catchy and a good choice for them to release, I just think they'll struggle with the boyband competition at the moment.

Another one bites the dust as the fourth consecutive boyband single falls out, leaving "Show Me Love (America)" as The Wanted's most successful song of the year, which puzzles me as I find this infinitely better, I really like this song and so far weirdly I have liked one song from them each era (All Time Low & Lightning previously). And BTW, i'm not forgetting the stats all the last five songs each spent one week in the chart at #10 on the Reshuffle chart.

Wiley's second song to drop out leaving him his feature on Conor Maynard's Animal left. Wiley brung Chip (AKA. Chipmunk) along for the ride this time, delivering an OK grime/dance song which fans of the genre will like and others will forget about.

PSY's follow-up to the yet-to-appear "Gangnam Style" appears next, which was always going to be a difficult follow up, but he still got 617 million Youtube views to date, but it's failed to enter public conciousness, and let's face it, the amount of people who want to hear PSY sing about getting them wet was always going to be a small minority. Gentleman finishes higher than Reload as it recieved one "+5" compared to Wiley's none.

Rizzle Kicks's sole entry this year has fell disappointingly short of the top 100, I quite like Rizzle Kicks and this song, for me it's not as good as Down With The Trumpets, Mama Do The Hump or Skip To The Good Bit, but as a social commentary song I think it's great.
I still think 'Beautiful Life' is actually quite a good song, disappointing to see it finishing below the awful 'Carry You'. The Wanted's worst song is their highest here as well although I don't particularly like either of their other 2 either.

Up next the first of two Lawson entries this year, and this would be the first of theirs that I could claim to like and definitely the only one I can remember the way it goes. And no the song is not about tits as you may have guessed from the above screenshot, just the video.

Another Britain's Got Talent finalist shows up here, I find the song quite dull and not struck that much on Gabz either. L(TO) finishes higher than Juliet as she recieved two "+5s" compared to Lawson's one.

Oh god, completely forgot about 'Gabz' :puke2:

Sad to see Gentleman and Juliet so low, they're not that bad.

Lawson and B.O.B drop out of the race, I'm surprised this one is lower than Juliet as it is much more forgettable and B.O.B's feature goes into the completely unnecessary category.

101. TINIE TEMPAH FT. JOHN MARTIN - CHILDREN OF THE SUN (-52 POINTS)

Both Tinie Tempah & John Martin just miss out on having all three of their 2013 T10s in the top 100, Tinie still has "Trampoline" and "Drinking From The Bottle" to represent him, whilst Martin has "Don't You Worry Child" & "Reload" left. The song itself isn't dreadful, it's just very unimaginative especially when you know what Tinie's capable of. COTS finishes higher than Brokenhearted as it recieved five "+5"s compared to Lawson's none.
