43. TOM ODELL - ANOTHER LOVE (38 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1
OCC PEAK: 10 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 2
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 3
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 0
POSITIVE VOTES: 18
NEGATIVE VOTES: 8
RUN: 2
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 38

The second highest song on the list to only have one week in the chart, whilst Odell didn't managed to block "Get Lucky" from number one, it still managed a great score. I love this song being one of three who gave it a "+5", mainly I like the music and lyrics which are gorgeous but I can see people not liking the vocal even though it doesn't bother me. I can also see it being a song in the future where people thought it did much better than it actually did.

42. AVICII VS. NICKY ROMERO - I COULD BE THE ONE (42 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 6
OCC PEAK: 1 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 5
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 20
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 2
POSITIVE VOTES: 76
NEGATIVE VOTES: 78

AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 7

The second single to appear on what has been a fantastic year of Avicci is his first OCC#1, but Buzzjack had honored him before with "Levels" being a Reshuffle #1. Possibly my favourite of the four T10 singles this year, this got off to a good start on its first week, then got middling small positive and negative scores, not allowing it to progress much further.

Another OCC#1 falls, this time it's the turn of yet another dance track, whilst my first impressions of this song were lacklustre, it has grown on me a great deal becoming one of my favourite OCC#1s of last year, the video's pretty great too.

40. CALVIN HARRIS & ALESSO FT. HURTS - UNDER CONTROL (47 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2
OCC PEAK: 1 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 4
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 5
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 2
POSITIVE VOTES: 35
NEGATIVE VOTES: 20
RUN: 4-3
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 23.5

As we enter the top 40 another OCC dance #1 leaves us, meaning there are 19 OCC #1s left in the 39 tracks still to come in the countdown, one of the non-OCC #1s to come is "I Need Your Love", Calvin Harris' last song in the competition. This song is OK, but to me it just doesn't seem worthy of having being a #1.

39. LILY ALLEN - HARD OUT HERE (52 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 1
OCC PEAK: 9 (1wk)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 2
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 8
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 3
POSITIVE VOTES: 24
NEGATIVE VOTES: 12
RUN: 2
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 52

Lily Allen has managed to get the highest song on the countdown this year which has been done in the last two years by Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black" and Loreen's "Euphoria". This song is almost an answer song to Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" and other songs/videos which are degrading to women. The song was clever and catchy but was overshadowed by the more festive "Somewhere Only We Know" (still to come).

38. PHARRELL WILLIAMS - HAPPY (60 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 3 (in 2013)
OCC PEAK: 9 (1wk)

AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4
POSITIVE VOTES: 46
NEGATIVE VOTES: 29
RUN: 5-3-5
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 20

Pharrell Williams had a incredible 2013 via featuring on others' singles, however he finished it with a hit in his own right, from the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack, the laidback track hit a chord with music buyers, and whilst I don't LOVE this, I do think it's hard to dislike.

37. OLLY MURS - DEAR DARLIN' (66 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 6
OCC PEAK: 5 (2wks)

AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 4
POSITIVE VOTES: 86
NEGATIVE VOTES: 76

AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 11

Another year's Brit nominations have been announced this week and Olly Murs has been snubbed once more in the British Male category, despite having three of the decades biggest albums and consistant singles sales. "Dear Darlin'" is one of his more mature singles, and I really like it, being one of the standouts for me on his album Right Place Right Time.

One the of the more pleasantly surprising Reshuffle #1s of the year and my favourite dance single of the year was newcomer to the UK charts, Wilkinson featuring the vocal talents of Becky Hill, whose voice works magnificently on the tracks. One of the standouts of the year for me.

35. LEONA LEWIS - ONE MORE SLEEP (74 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 2
OCC PEAK: 3 (2wks)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 1

AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 0
POSITIVE VOTES: 36

So that what's Leona needed to get that hit - a Christmas single, who da funk it? The song itself is very catchy and reminiscent of the Phil Spector Christmas songs from the 60s. The song managed to spend both of its two weeks at Reshuffle #1, including the Christmas #1 week, and is the second highest two-weeker on the countdown.

34. ELLIE GOULDING - BURN (77 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 7
OCC PEAK: 1 (3wks)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 5
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 7
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 9
POSITIVE VOTES: 107
NEGATIVE VOTES: 78
RUN: 2-2-4-4-9-7-7
AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 11

Believe it or not this Ellie Goulding's first official #1, something you may be somewhat aware of if you listen to the chart on Sunday, what she neglects to tell you though is that Ellie's only had one Reshuffle #1 - "Starry Eyed" way back in 2010. This song is perhaps the most commercial thing Ellie has done (well at least tied with the John Lewis advert) so it should be no surprise to have been her biggest hit. She still has one more song in the countdown with a little help from Calvin Harris.

What is it with Avicii and Ellie Goulding being next to each other in countdowns? Avicii's second highest entry on this chart, I don't know what to make of this song, I know I don't like it but I don't really dislike it either it just doesn't seem to go anywhere at all. Building on the successful melding of country/folk and dance that "Wake Me Up" did so well, I wish this would lead to a genuine return of more typical country in the charts, which is a genre I enjoy. HB finishes higher than Burn as it recieved eighteen "+5"s compared to Goulding's seven.

32. RIHANNA FT. MIKKY EKKO - STAY (86 POINTS)

WEEKS IN TOP TEN: 8 (in 2013)
OCC PEAK: 4 (3wks)
RESHUFFLE AVERAGE POSITION: 4
AMOUNT OF 5's RECIEVED: 17
AMOUNT OF -5's RECIEVED: 12
POSITIVE VOTES: 94
NEGATIVE VOTES: 77

AVERAGE WEEKLY SCORE: 10.75

Despite this becoming Rihanna's record eigth Reshuffle #1 in 2012, it doesn't quite replicate that feat in 2013 with two weeks at a peak of #2 on the chart. It did spend another eight weeks in the top 10, giving it ten all together (although Wikipedia tried to tell me it was nine, but I've since corrected that problem). The song for me isn't one of Rihanna's best, being very dreary and the only lyric I can remember from it is the title, and I've just listened to it.

Another former Reshuffle #1 from 2012, this is a good result from Will.I.Am who much like One Direction finds it very difficult to finish in the positive results, the only previous one being "This Is Love". The song if you just judge it a party song is pretty fun and should be saved for such times.

Will do another 10 tomorrow, but I have a question for you in the meantime, well for anyone who follows the Reshuffle chart, I was thinking of permanently hiding the totals of each song per week like I do Decemeber but all year round, thus giving the EOY a bit more mystery to it, what do you think?
Good to see 'Hard Out Here' making it as high as #39 and 'One More Sleep' at #35!
"One More Sleep" and "Scream & Shout" doing so well! I also can't forget about "Afterglow"
