Apparently Paolo Nutini has a new album coming out in April, he's taken his time. Never understood the appeal of 'Sunny Side Up'. 'Born This Way' and 'Come Around Sundown' still close together as their predecessors are, will be interesting to see how close 'Mechanical Bull' and 'ARTPOP' are by the end of this year.

And into the top 20 and the million sellers of the decade so far! Rihanna’s the real loser among these five sliding three slots at the expense of Olly Murs and One Direction who prove there is strength in their back catalogue almost selling another 200k of “Up All Night” in 2013 and climb into the top 20 of the decade. Murs and Rihanna are two acts of four with two albums over 1 million mark this decade- a rather exclusive club.

I forgot 'Lungs' had sold so much, it takes the gloss off the still very strong sales of 'Ceremonials' somewhat.

Our last lot before we hit the big 10 and it’s full (more or less) of non movers with only Plan B and Mumford & Sons swapping places and of course a wopping climb for Mr Murs who moves up 33 places with his third album on this list. A deluxe re-issue contributed to a top 5 placement at Christmas time (and sales) but Murs aside Mumford & Sons were the biggest sellers of 2013 of the albums listed above selling double the amount of any of the others and reversing its downward slide helped by a world tour though their announcement that they would be going on a considerable hiatus which will probably halt the good progress. Though Coldplay gained on Gaga in the top 10 at the current yearly rate it would take a further 3 years for them to swap places.

I had no idea that Talk That Talk had sold over a million copies, I'd have guessed it was at around 500/600,000. I love that album.

As well as Lungs has done, it definitely wasn't the best-selling album of the decade two years ago! :P

Edit: Thanks

Whilst some were disappointed with the initial sales of “Unorthodox Jukebox” it hasn’t disgraced itself and becomes our highest new entry on the decade list at No 30. Bon Jovi are on the up again and given 48 months they may even make the million mark, something which Alicia Keys may do though at her current rate that 10k required may take a while. Lana’s also up 6 places as “Born To Die” is now the 10th biggest album of the decade by a female soloist.

According to the last numbers published, UJ should be at 848k and with this week's sales it should surpass both of Bon Jovi & Alicia Keys' albums. :D

34 - 6 - 7,250 - Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox - 846,500 - 22/12/12 - 34

10. THE FAME/ MONSTER- Lady Gaga (3-5-9-10) 1,495,800 (T/S 2,884,800)

Of course total sales of 2.8 million are incredible and it made Red One THE must have producer for 2009/2010 and transformed Stefani Germanotta into a superstar with four No 1 singles in under 18 months, that looked the easy part, keeping up the momentum seems to be the challenge. The release of “ARTPOP” this year didn’t really do much to generate new sales of this set- perhaps all who want it have it now?

9. DOO-WOPS AND HOOLIGANS- Bruno Mars (9-8-9) 1,617,300

With a million selling introductory solo single there was always going to be high demand for his first album, and few were surprised when it duly arrived at No 1 in January 2011, the class of his songwriting long having been established through the likes of B.o.B and Travie McCoy, K’naan, Sugababes (“Get Sexy”) and No 1’s for Cee-Lo Green and Flo Rida (“Right Round”). It’s one of 4 albums in the top 10 to clear 100k for a third year in a row.

8. 19- Adele (XX-6-6-8) 1,624,300 (T/S 2,201,100)

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/fa/Adele19.jpg

Slacking off the pace in 2013 Adele sees her debut album almost slip out of the top 10 this year with pretty much nothing to hold it in the public gaze. At total sales of 2.2 million I doubt she’ll be overly bothered but it is one of just 3 albums in the top 10 to sell less than 30k this year, she also remains the only act this decade to hold the top 2 spaces in the album charts simultaneously.

I can't believe "19" has sold over 2 million too... it must be ahead of 2008's best seller, "Rockferry" too?

7. +- Ed Sheeran (20-7-7) 1,756,700

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/3/3f/Ed_Sheeran_+_cover.png

It spent just 4 weeks in the top 10 in 2013 but it’s been omnipresent in the top 200 all year and sold a still none too shabby 180k+ in 2013 as it became one of only 7 albums to top the 1.7 million mark on current decade sales alone. It was also of course a one time holder of the lowest weekly sale for a No 1 album when it sold 20k in Feb 12, a tally which has been broken 12 times since!

06. CRAZY LOVE- Michael Buble (2-4-5-6) 1,846,115 (T/S 3,043,536)

http://cdn.everyjoe.com/files/2009/12/Michael-Buble-Crazy-Love.jpg

“Crazy Love” has fought “The Fame” every step of the way sales wise in 09/10, being the 3rd best seller of 2009 and 2nd biggest of 2010, but total sales have now exceeded Gaga’s and for all of that it has managed just one week at No 1. It really has made Buble an A list player on the album front at least, a fact re-affirmed by his Christmas album, its total sales have now soared over the 3 million mark and it continues its gentle fall on this rundown.

05.LOUD- Rihanna (4-3-3-5) 1,912,800

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d1/Rihanna_-_Loud.png

Failing to debut at No 1 in the charts thanks to an album still to feature, this is now established as the biggest selling Rihanna album ever though it moves down on the decade chart. She is of course the only act to place 4 albums on this rundown, a testament to her dominance in this decade.
