really good season. want to see where this goes now with season 2. double the episode lengths and add some more people to the cast!

I have only seen one episode (the one where Richie and Patrick spend the day together <3333) and I already know the entire plot from the spoilers, it seems, lmao! He can't choose Kevin :cry: Richie or BUST tyvm :angry:

I enjoyed the season overall! I actually liked the slow pace of the episodes; I think it made the scenarios seem realistic. Personally I think half an hour is just right though, given the pace.

 

I find all of the lead characters pretty hard to like, but I've long since come to the conclusion that you're probably not meant to like them all that much. Patrick is incredibly frustrating and hard to warm to at all, and as for Agustin... (plus his beard is foul x). I probably like Dom the most, which is saying something.

 

In conclusion: Richie deserves far better. :(

I still haven't seen this. I'm gonna have to do a back to back watch one day. But the pictures are all over Tumblr and Russell Tovey's bum is quite magnificent.

Caught up on this while on holiday and it is so wonderful. The season was so short though :(

I just finished watching the first series, just in time for the second. Love it!

 

I like that it's a more realistic portrayal of gay life than something like Queer As Folk which has a lot of hedonism and whatnot, I feel in the space of 8 short episodes I've got to know these characters. It's safe to say my crush on Patrick has now reached stratospheric levels, and I was glad to see it finally happen between him and Kevin after the tension had been bubbling so much throughout the series.

 

I'm sorry to say but I really dislike Richie. :( Just a totally unlikeable character and extremely irritating.

Oh that's interesting, for me he was the least irritating out of the entire male cast! :lol: The one with the beard got on my nerves the most. (I need to learn their names again, ha).

 

I feel like I should watch the first season again before the second one begins. Very excited for it!

I like him because even though he's obnoxious it's easy to identify with his struggles and sympathise with him. The reason I don't like Richie is he seems very sure of himself and like he has shady or sinister intentions behind everything he says and does. If I knew someone like that in real life I'd avoid them like the plague.

Oh wow at the return episode! It was explosive. It's good to see them in a different environment and not just focusing on their day to day life in the city, but still retaining the struggles going on in their lives.

 

Most of all, I really want to go to a party in the forest like that one! It looks like so much fun. :D

Anyone still watching? I've been enjoying this season quite a lot more than the first one. The most recent episode brought Doris to the forefront, and it was about time! It was interesting to learn that the friendship between Doris & Dom goes way back, to the point that they even dated in their youth.

 

Doris is probably my favourite character tbh. I still find most of the male characters to be quite hard to like, particularly Patrick as of late, but I have a soft spot for Dom.

I'm enjoying this season too.

 

But I find Kevin really annoying, Russell's acting just doesn't feel natural. #TeamRichie.
