Okay, I admit I haven't heard her first album (need to get around to that sometime) but comparing singles from both eras and then the album tracks I love on Warrior, HOW is it so much less loved than Animal/Cannibal? Past Lives, Wherever You Are and Die Young would all be in my Ke$ha top 5 and half the singles from the first lot I don't even like that much.

Β

We R Who We R so high is... urgh. Basic and soulless. Blow or Take It Off for the win (although fully expecting them to be 4th and 5th now).

We're crashing and slutdropping into the top 5 with Ke$ha's single from 'Animal' all about removing one's garments and dancing provocatively (as the Queen would say it). Although a deserved high finisher, I can't help but feel that some of the greats below it are a LITTLE more deserving of top 5 than this, but still, an excellent track!

Take It Off was the track that made me love Ke$ha

A song many were tipping for the win before this rate (MSN people will testify this) shockingly misses the top 3! The ideal follow up to the breakthrough smash 'Tik Tok', this track is another dazzling high from 'Animal' and a brilliant 'Ke$ha-fied' love song

Ke$ha's only UK #1 Single has to settle for the bronze medal in this rate. As good as it is, part of me finds this a little bit to much 'more of the same' from previous Ke$ha singles, but then, who am I to judge?

So, the most pressing question still remains, who will be taking the Ke$ha Rate crown?

Β

BLOW or TIK TOK?

'We R Who We R' WAY too high! Agree with your comment there Lex...

Β

'Blow' for the win. But I predict 'Tik Tok'.

The song that is arguably the most iconic and recognisable Ke$ha song in popular culture has to settle for the silver medal in this rate. Who would have thought it? As overplayed, parodied and repeated as a motif this song has become, let us not forget that at it's core 'Tik Tok' is a brilliant pop banger.

Β

Which of course means that we now know our winner!

Which, of course, means that your winner is...

Β

1. Blow (9.34)

Β

"drink that coolade, follow my lead

now you're one of us, you're coming with me"

Β

Β

Reasons why this song has got to number one:

Β

Firstly, it's her best video. Secondly, it's a brilliant track with a 'get the party started' vibe (it would make a great opening song at a gig). Thirdly and most crucially, it is the legacy of Red Drips, to which, this song was the official anthem *.*

I'd rather We R Who We R was a little lower (it's good but nowhere near her best) but fab top 2/amazing winner!
"We R Who We R" is so overrated amongst people. I remember seeing her show at Hammersmith and she had done her set list and was yet to do an encore, and I genuinely forgot about it and was like "I wonder what she'll do as an encore song?".
