February 20, 201411 yr Author lol. I'm personally not surprised that record labels are trying to manipulate the chart, getting a top 10 on beatport is a big thing for an EDM act so the extra publicity that comes from it will only help them.
February 22, 201411 yr ^ The Dutch chart has decided to stop including downloads on its official chart altogether, since downloads are so easily manipulated. Their chart is now a hybrid of streaming and radio airplay. The download market in the UK is quite big, so it's more difficult to manipulate, although we've still had dozens of Facebook campaigns manage to get songs in the charts.
