The highest finishing country of these 3 was Switzerland who were represented by Estonian girl group Vanilla Ninja who finished 8th. Vanilla Ninja also took part in the Estonian national show in 2003 and 2007 but failed to be selected and one of their members, Lenna, will be in this year's Estonian national selection. The Hungarian entry also finished in the top half of that contest but Javine finished down in 22nd for the United Kingdom. Iceland's 2012 entry by Gréta Salóme & Jónsi finished down in 20th in the final. Finally, Carola's 1991 entry won the contest after winning a tie-break with France's Amina. This is the only time a tie-break has been required since it was implemented after the 1969 contest which had 4 joint winners.
