hi everyone,

wondering if their is a way that i can set the email notifications so that when i get an email that says someone replied to my topic, i actually get a copy of the message?

so for example:

such and such as just replied to a thread you have subscribed to called what ever, and now, here is what was said?

i ask because that was the whole point of me subscribing to email notifications- so when i'm not on the forum, or just quickly checking emails, i can still see what's going on with my subscribed threads

if this isn't an option now, then i suggest it for the future- it would make the purpose of email notifications a lot more understandable

sure when you go into a topic at the top you can "Track this topic" which will inform you of replies to the topic. You can also "Subscribe to this forum" which is more general and will inform you of all new topics in the chosen forum.

that's cool, but say if i did that, and you replied would it just say in te email "phil has just replied", or would it actually tell me what you said.

it's something i feel very strongly about

i have just tested this and you will receive something similar to the below. The digest (different option on the same page) might give topic content but I would test this yourself and see what option you prefer.

Phil,

test has just posted a reply to a topic that you have subscribed to titled "email notifications?".

The topic can be found here:

There may be more replies to this topic, but only 1 email is sent per board visit for each subscribed topic. This is

to limit the amount of mail that is sent to your inbox.

i feel strongly about the fact that if you're going to have an email notification service, it has topic content in the email.

it's like, the whole idea of an email notification service- to let you know what's going on. i hope you get what i mean

btw, on a diffrent note, how can i request an artist?. i see the forum where it says to request an artist, but do i have to give certain information?

like... i want a michael jackson forum, and this is why?. is that okay?. or do i have to give more detail or how does that work

currently we provide a notification letting the person know there has been a response. I am developing a new site and will consider adding this at a later date so you would see also the message.

For artist forums you request it in the Feature Request forum. We have a topic for Artist Request Rules and Getting Started which will also be helpful!

thanks. will check it out

and a new site?

hmm i only just joined this one
