January 30, 201411 yr Yeah but Expressen and Aftonbladet are SHIT  True that. Their articles about Norway sometimes shocks me Expecially in these times of winter olympics
January 30, 201411 yr Author The thing with Mahan Moin is that she's bringing exactly what the hardcore #eurovision & #melfest fans will expect from Elena Paparizou... *.*
January 30, 201411 yr This is what I thought when I read her profile! New to the game and calling it first (maybe) *.*
January 30, 201411 yr Author The FUN is back in #melfest Go @MahanMoin! #eurovision party mixing Ruslana with Shakira and with an arabic touch! *.*.*
January 30, 201411 yr Fully behind Mohan with a description like that, my inner gay is ready to be SLAYED *.* (And then disappointed)
January 30, 201411 yr If she can pull off a Ruslana meets Shakira party track then I will be all over this. God I love ethnic pop.
January 30, 201411 yr If she can pull off a Ruslana meets Shakira party track then I will be all over this. God I love ethnic pop. Are you a Nancy Ajram fan?
January 30, 201411 yr Are you a Nancy Ajram fan? I've never heard of her before now. :o She sounds (from a quick search) promising.
January 30, 201411 yr Author Wow! Let me say that I've loved 'Survivor' from the start. It's a stunning, modern pop song that feels like it's bigger than the ESC and any singer would long to get hold of. I'll also say that I was doubtful of Helena previously. Does she have any star power left? Why was she eliminated so early on Strictly Come Dancing? All of these issues are blown away like a hurricane as Helena rehearses. It's almost Carola-level good. She's sexy, she sings like hell, she sings with conviction and portrays the lyrics like only somebody who has survived through life could. This is the first time I can smell Copenhagen across the water. I find it hard to see what would stop them voting for Helena in this heat and in the final after seeing what we have just seen this in the arena. HOLY HELL. Where's that EMERGENCY MASSIVE DISCO SMILEY
January 30, 201411 yr I've never heard of her before now. :o She sounds (from a quick search) promising. 'Mashi Hadi' and 'Entah Ei' are my two favourites. Arabic pop is amazing (tho I'm a total arabophile)
January 30, 201411 yr I can guarantee to even the most anti-Eurovision of you all that you'll have at least one or two keepers for the iPod, and if you're a pop fan we'll probably be looking at a 75% hit rate - and really, how often do you find 20-25 great songs with associated performances for the ages dropping onto your lap in one go? So yes, JOIN US. NU KÖR VI! Before reading this post I didn't count myself as anti-Eurovision fan. Edited January 30, 201411 yr by AlexRange
January 30, 201411 yr I did think that Helena's had many opportunities to do Melodifestivalen in recent years, so if she was to do it now it'd obviously have to be with a bang to rights winner of a song. Plus, she's the type of artist that even with an average or mediocre level song, she can perform the hell out of it!
January 30, 201411 yr You count yourself as one now? Not sure, maybe I'm only don't like Melodifestivalen. Old good British "A Song For Europe" (in 70s and 80s) were the best possible Eurovision preselections.
