We loved it! It was really clever, I was totally thrown by the part you put in spoilers. Such a clever concept for an episode, strongest episode so far this season by miles!

Phenomenal episode tonight (I keep thinking this is on Tuesdays oop) much better than the last two which didn't quite hit the mark for me. I knew there was gonna be a 'trick' set up here somewhere, but I still didn't imagine it quite unfolding that way. Inside No. 9 and Magician tricks really go hand in hand.

I must admit I thought the first magician was actually gonna be alive at the end! Implausible as that would've been I did find it a bit odd he took so long to die!

Excellent stuff!

Such a shame it's finished, the last two were utterly incredible and I was mouth agape when the twist came for both! I'm glad as there was a few more episodes than usual that didn't grab me as much.

Another great series and so so happy it's been renewed for another TWO <3 series! One of the most unique shows around where you truly have NO idea what you are going to be watching. I've been going back and watching The League of Gentleman on iPlayer and there's so many subtle moments from it aside from the main bits. They're certainly geniuses! ALSO, I've been listening the to podcast 'Inside Inside Number 9' which helps explore their thinking behind each of the episodes and the intentions/reasons for each character. An interesting listen if you want to know more about each episode!

My favourite episode from this series was probably Misdirection as it was essentially the show personified. You think the rugs been pulled out from underneath you, or you think you know where the rug is, but the whole thing is turned on it's head again! Very much liked the final episode too, completely blindsided and that opening shot was a fantastic idea! Loved that it was essentially a two-hander too.

I liked how different Love's Great Adventure was to the usual and how the 'twists' were peppered earlier in the episode. It had a similar effect to The Twelve Days of Christine (although of course not on that level!!) where you were really drawn into the family despite only being with them for 30 minutes.

Thinking Out Loud is probably one that deserves a rewatch the most as it will probably grow with it. I wasn't really drawn in for the most part until everything was of course drawn together. Though the shot of the murderer in the mirror of the influencer's bedroom creeped me out!

01. Misdirection

02. The Stakeout

03. Death Be Not Proud

04. Love's Great Adventure

05. Thinking Out Loud

06. The Referee's a w*n**r

i usually love this type of series. it's definitely on top of the watch queue now!

okay so two years later and i finally decided to give it a go

'a quiet night in' is definitely the best one out of the first three so far. and i read it was considered one of the best ever too

god bless VPN because it's obviously not available on Netflix Russia~
Shiiit! That ending in The Devil of Christmas... :|

Two great episodes to start. The first one was utterly bizarre and almost impossible to critique considering it kind of knew what it was going for, I wasn't sure what to expect from it, but I think I liked it?

The second one was much more classic (I did sort of see the twist coming somewhat), and it was a pretty excellent spoof of both fans and creators of cult shows. While you can easily see its main target, but it felt very timely coming after the recent conclusion to Line of Duty too!

I’ve enjoyed both too. The opening one was pure slapstick farce but I enjoyed it more than the one set in the hotel from last season. The second episode seemed tailor made to be aired after the final episode of Line of Duty!

Anyone else still watching? I enjoyed this week, very different to their usual stories but still very effective
