With things being so quiet on the Will front we've been struggling to make the top 10 artist forums of late. I noticed this post from a Leona mod in the shout box and wondered if we could do something similar.

We'd definitely have plenty to discuss with Will's debut single, statistics, pop idol performance,vids of fav performance over the years etc. I know it ain't new music, but his Nibbs don't seem in any great hurry on that front. :lol: :( Would help keep the forum ticking over. What do others think?

I know and it's still an unbelievable amount to sell in just one week, 1,108,659 copies to be exact. :dancing: :o

I didn't buy it until its second week, wanted to help it be no.1 for another week! :lol: :rolleyes:

Thanks for posting the videos. Loved that performance from the Paul OGrady show. What power in his voice.

 

Weirdly Evergreen is the only Will cd I have only got the one of, and it has sun cream stains on it from me taking it in holiday all those years ago for repeat listening.

Thanks for the vids. Many memories, in particular waiting for Woollies to open with my money in my hot and grubby hand (I've still got the receipt). Then having the radio on full blast waiting for the DJs to play it, with my own CD playing in the background. Then finding out that the CD had sold almost 400,000 copies in one day, which led on to selling almost 1,200,000 in one week. :yahoo: a record never to be broken. No downloads in those days - they were all physical sales. So proud.

Now I can understand that. Gareth on The Long and Winding Road is not exactly a must have. :P

I've only noticed Will Young's impact truly after his song Jealousy was released. I liked the symphony on the track, his vocals were flawless, the lyrics were corny and enough of a cliche to loathe the song, but overall a good song
