"Ten years ago today we finally released what had been my life’s work up to that point: The College Dropout. I say "finally" because it was a long road, a constant struggle, and a true labor of love to not only convince my peers and the public that I could be an artist, but to actually get that art out for the world to hear. I am extremely grateful to each and every person along that road who helped, lent an ear, lent their voice, gave of their heart to that project, and to all the projects that followed, and are to come. I am honored and humbled by my fans, for the unwavering support and love over the past 10 years. I wake up every day trying to give something back to you that you can rock to and be proud of."

Ten years later I am still the same kid from Chicago, still dreaming out loud, still banging on the door. The doors may be heavier, but I promise you WE WILL BREAK THEM."

One of many masterpieces from him, and still so relevant today. The singles remain some of my all-time favourites from him and the whole blurring of comic-Kanye and serious-West hasn't really been so balanced in any of the following albums.

Probably ranks as my least favourite solo album from him though, but its highlights are insane and it still managed to launch the legend in style <3

The 'Jesus Walks', 'Through The Wire', 'All Falls Down' trio is everything.

The only two songs on this album I really know and love are Through The Wire and Jesus Walks. Through The Wire is really very underrated, such a feel-good and optimistic song. Is it a fan favourite? Only just got Jesus Walks a few months ago and adore it but can't help thinking that an extra rap would make it essential.

Not 'All Falls Down' Tom?? I'd say that was the signature track from the album (based largely on the fact that there's a club I love that always plays it).

'Jesus Walks' is incredible and so important. It plays on some scary irony with where he is now too which is fun to see.

I do like All Falls Down but it's not really a standout track for me.

The Jesus Walks/ Never Let Me Down couplet is perfect.

+ The New Workout Plan

I'd be lying if I said it was one of my favourite Kanye albums though, MBDTF and 808s >>>>>>>>

I've found a new appreciation for this album, really up there as one of his best for me now!

Ranking his albums would be impossible, all absolute masterpieces.

I think 'Late Registration'/'Graduation' would be battling for last place but I'd feel bad for giving any of them a 'last place' haha.

Its amazing to think that this is only his 2nd best album too as the album with All of the Lights & Monster is clearly his greatest work.

Shows how great an artist he is!!

Impromptu album rank :magic:

1. My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

2. Yeezus

3. 808s & Heartbreak

4. Graduation

5. The College Dropout

6. Late Regristration

Even 'Late Registration' is a masterpiece and has some of my real favourites on it, but I *think* that's my order (for today at least).

I clearly like my West more experimental.

Mine would be basically the same as yours with the College Dropout at No2. What a wonderful artist - the best if the century so far IMO.

I might just go and listen to all this albums in order from start to finish!
