Oh, iamstrong - so, so happy that you had a fantastic time :)

I love hearing from fans who normally have little chance to see them live. The production was obviously scaled down, but they really don't need it , do they? Great songs, great performers and an enthusiastic crowd is all that's required!!

I hope this gives TT the confidence to go further afield. It doesn't matter that they can't sell out stadiums. Small scale venues can be just as wonderful, if not better than the larger productions. I've a feeling they may consider a small South American concert in the near future. I'd also like them to test the water in Eastern Europe - their fan base may be small in that part of the world but they're very loyal.

By the way what were your favourite songs from the set list?

By the way what were your favourite songs from the set list?

My faves were Pray (the dance moves was a hit with the crowd), Back For Good (everyone was singing along word-for-word), Let Me Go, Rule The World, Said It All, Shine, Relight My Fire and Never Forget (amazing ending).

I wasn't too familiar with 4 Minute Warning (well, not many people at the concert knew the song), but people who did know sang along at the top of their lungs, and it's actually a great song. I think I'll check it out and add it on my Apple Music playlist.

Wow, you were actually there, iamstrong. Doubly jealous: that you got to see the boys live today and that you got to visit Singapore :)

I'm glad you enjoyed the concert.

The crowd really did seem to go wild on Pray and I got the impression Gary did his best to impress the public - he pulled out the big notes, he held them for quite some time (and not only on Pray). He usually does that when he feels the support of the audience.

We've had some great days this week, with all the excitement of the boys re-visiting Asia after all this time. It's nice to see them explore some other parts of the world, outside their usual comfort zone: UK, Ireland, Germany, Italy. As you say, dylandog, it doesn't matter that it's not arenas or stadiums. Actually, the crowd in Bangkok and Singapore wasn't small at all, which is quite an accomplishment for a group that hasn't promoted anything there in years and years.

Oh, I forgot: I really loved the surprise the fans in Bangkok prepared for the boys, with all the signs saying "Want You Back". It reminded me of a similar surprise we prepared for Lara Fabian, when she 1st came to Romania - 5000 signs saying "Tu nous a manque/We Missed You".

Well actually we got the signs too. Everyone was waving it during "Back For Good" :D

Fantastic! Glad you had a great time! Maybe they'll release a single in time for the Hyde park gig!
Does anyone have any idea why The Flood is #190 on iTunes this morning? Was it played anywhere on tv?
I dont have any answers, but is is news i greatly welcome. It would be wonderful if it keeps climbing.

I've tried checking on BPI, Jay, but, for some reason, when I type in TT, nothing about them appears :/ This has never happened before.

Maybe somebody else has more luck than me: https://www.bpi.co.uk/certified-awards.aspx

It works when I search for Gary, but not for TT <_<

Yes it has gone platinum (600,000+) this is from the BPI database

TAKE THAT - THE FLOOD

Platinum Certification (Single) 22 May 2015

UNIVERSAL MUSIC (POLYDOR)

Released 06 November 2010

Certification History:

Gold Certification 22 July 2013

That is wonderful for the Flood as it deserves platinum status, especially as it lost out on a number 1 status.

Frustrating that i think it would have if there wasn't that issue with the DVD.
Maybe Inside the Music will give the album a new push and will get it to 600k soon.

Is 'Inside the Music' actually on terrestrial TV or is it on a specialist service such as Apple? If it's not on the main TV channels I can't imagine much interest in the album, although any increase in sales is better than nothing.

If the programme is on BBC or ITV then Gary and TT fans had better 'battle down the hatches' because GB took rather a lot of flak for his NYE show some years ago. Since the tax issue many people seem to take great exception to him receiving any type of publicity and the internet trolls will certainly be out in force once again.

I'm actually really looking forward to it. It should provide an interesting insight into the workings of the music industry and specifically the way in which Gary functions from a songwriting and production perspective.

I don't think it's gonna be on tv, but I can't be sure about it.

It would be nice if all the "episodes" were uploaded on Gary's VEVO, as it would ensure that more people know about them.

Wherever they'll be, I'm really looking forward to them.

As for the haters, they're just gonna have an excuse to externalize what they are already thinking.

Lately, I've been looking at the comments on Gary's videos - especially the documentaries and the SISYL medley -. I was surprised to notice a lot of positive comments from casual listeners and from an increasing number of Americans. It's quite the opposite to what you would find on twitter, which means that, in the end, haters are just louder on social media, but they don't represent the majority.

Sorry for the multiple posts - don't know what happened there? Great news about The Flood , it's a quality song. I think Gary is beginning to garner some interest from the US due to FN and that's also good publicity for the band. In my view it's too late for them to make major inroads in America but some recognition is better than none.

Milly, I hope you're right and those of us who don't have access to more specialist channels get the chance to view it. It's the kind of programme which really interests me, especially as it will focus on Gary's involvement in different areas of the music business.

I hope I'm right more than anyone else, dylandog, cause I don't even have a smartphone  And I really want to be able to watch Inside the Music.

Fingers and toes crossed :)
