I can see Radio 1 getting on board for this one.

This reminds me of Wild Things in parts, obviously the lyrics 'Wild Things on the prowl' contributes a lot to that, but it's the lyrical melody throughout as well. It usually takes me 3 singles to decide on an act and at this point I think I'm just a bit 'meh' about them. None of their songs song original to me at all.

INCREDIBLE! I can see myself liking this even more than Braveheart! :D :cheer:

Rather good.

I don't think Neon Jungle will sell album at all though which is rather unfortunate as i've liked all three singles.

Absolutely love this! I think this will be even bigger than Braveheart with any luck too. I agree about the albums thing though, but who knows.
this song is everything omg. loving the new emerging trend of bedroom producer-style dance. muted choruses in 'my love' / 'hideaway' / then this are everything

The song is an absolute banger like I said when the preview came out, where are those pressed haters now that said Neon Jungle would be over by single 3 and the next Stooshe? :P It's immense, I can see why they called it a rap song as well, I get Sexy No No No teas from the structure/production too. It isn't as instant as Braveheart but it should go down well with critics and later be one of their signature hits like Little Mix - Move or Girls Aloud - Biology for instance.

Radio should eat this up also, they didn't support Braveheart probably due to Trouble underperforming but now that Braveheart has smashed without their support I'm sure they'll be back on board with Welcome To The Jungle. It is very fresh and current and trendy in comparison to the other girl band's singles like Not Giving Up - a rehash of 500 other dance pop generic that has been repeated and repeated over the years.

Who made you in charge of whether an album does well or not? What evidence do you have to as why it won't do well? Because all songs are dance bangers and there hasn't been a been a ballad yet? That is part of their whole appeal and what they're being marketed as and that's what will actually make them sell albums. Avicii and Calvin Harris have both done well with their albums of dance only songs. And the girls have mentioned that there will be ballads on the album, which they can obviously still release even later as post album singles. Apologies for such a brash reply but I'm just not a fan of generalised opinions.

It's the weakest of the three (at least initially) for me so far, but it's still solid! I don't see how this "shows another side" to them though, as I think it'll fit quite nicely against the other songs we've heard from them so far. The only problem I have is, if this does go on to be a top 10 hit, then I fear they'll leave 'Trouble' off of the album :(

There's no way they'd leave Trouble off the album, it may have not set the charts alight but it was a cult hit and a buzz single, it proved popular in the US also so it would be silly to leave it off and I remember Shereen saying in an interview that the same energy and attitude that came from 'Trouble' - that's going to be there throughout their career. So don't worry Jonjo, Trouble will be there! :P

It's a chart forum, and discussing chart patterns and predictions is the whole point of the forum. Girlbands don't generally sell well with albums these days - they're bigger single sellers, Little Mix sell semi-decently with albums, but you'd expect them to go platinum with the X-Factor backing - even Girls Aloud's latest album didn't do brilliantly. That's not saying that Neon Jungle can't and won't buck the trend - but it's very unlikely that they will sell beyond silver - which would still be perfectly respectable with today's albums sales.

A cult hit!

Amazing.

I didn't realise anyone could muster the effort to loon over Neon Jungle.

I get your point and agree but my argument is that Lee says they won't sell "any albums at all" which I completely disagree with. There is a lot of buzz around the group and they have barely even promoted the era - to say they won't sell any albums when they haven't even started promoting the album is riduculous.

Just because he stans for The Saturdays and their album sold next to nothing doesn't mean every other girl band will follow suit. Neon Jungle appeal much better to the general public than The Saturdays do, and their image is spot-on and well liked by many that have heard of them. Dance music is also very popular this year and if their pre singles don't sell bucket loads, their album should be a guaranteed success. I also feel some posters on this forum aren't acknowledging the rapid decay of album sales in the UK, practically every album is being deemed a flop because of its sales tallies in comparison to years ago. 200k album sales in this climate is actually phenomenal and would most likely equate to 400k in the 2009-2010 sales climate, so even though I'm not a fan, hats off to Little Mix, their album sales are indeed impressive.

Hooked on this, just as I was with Braveheart and Trouble, they're so consistently good at the moment. I don't think this will be another top 5 as it's not quite as accessible as Braveheart but I think another top 10 sounds likely. Super.

What's going on with the video by the way? I saw it on NOW TV the other day, but there's no sign of it on VEVO and I haven't seen it on TV since.

I've stated that I like all three singles but Neon Jungle don't really have any sort of fanbase - they don't have much Twitter followers as of yet and I don't think a lot of the casual public will buy music that's not showing much diversity.

I wouldn't say that Neon Jungle appeal to the general public more than The Saturdays? Neon have had one moderate hit which is going to struggle to pass over 230,000.

I just HAVE to hear this in a club tonight. 'Braveheart' is being hammered by radio here in SA. I wish these girls all the best tbh, they're the first girl group I'm actually liking since Girls Aloud.

To be fair to the Sats, at least you knew who ANY OF THEM were by single 3!

It's because they're quite faceless at the moment, not many people actually know who they are or care about them which means everything is judged on a single by single basis. It's why Braveheart was a lot more successful even though Trouble flopped as it was less of a divisive song. Welcome to the Jungle has yet to pass 100,000 views showing there's not that much interest in the group itself yet so where is the interest going to be in the album. Calvin Harris is a big name now which is why he is able to sell albums, his first album didn't actually do that well as he was more faceless. Avicii's album has done so well because he's been building up support with numerous releases, he released two big hits and another moderate one before actually launching into the album campaign and even then, the album itself has had three massive hits.

I had this conversation with others on here too. Why does it even matter? I don't know who any of London Grammar are to take one example. They're cohesive as a band and don't need the marketing behind them that other girl groups have had to separate the band members. I don't know why there's such a stipulation for all girl groups to shine as individuals, given it's the BAND with the identity.
