But they planned to release another single (or two) off the album anyway, so it's not like they released another single just because the fans wanted Not Giving Up to be released. If it worked that way then Get Ready, Get Set, Faster, or White Lies would've gotten single treatment.

And I know people don't want to believe it, but Not Giving Up was an attempt at gaining another top 10 to add to their list so they could look more relevant when booking gigs and endorsements which is the only way the label makes money with them. How exactly can you sell yourself in May-Summer when your last success on your list was a top 5 in October (which preceded a 20k flop album <-- that doesn't look that good)? I don't think people realise how important concepts like "profile" and "relevancy" are for a group in their situation...

 

It frustrates me. It's """flopping""" so now suddenly it's just a gift for the fans? Really? A gift for the fans which they gave a great video to, a new b-side, remixes and a pre-album-like release (instead of releasing it like a post-album single). But yeah, it was obviously just a gift for the fans. If it was truly a gift for the fans, believe me, they wouldn't have done everything they've done, especially not this kind of release.

You can just tell the girls don't care anymore.. Not one of them bothered to stay up till 12 to tweet about NGU being released (even Marvin did :rolleyes:) Vanessa is the only one who has actually tweeted about it. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the girls haven't even bought the single :angry:

I'm sure they will. They don't want to spam everyone's time line and you have to remember 3 of them are mothers now so are probably exhausted and sleeping or looking after their babies at 12am. Meanwhile, the they're on their way to Sunday brunch which is going to have more of an effect than just tweeting to the fans. Una has tweeted about it anyway.

Suppose but they need to be clogging up people's timelines, look what The Vamps are doing compared to the girls! Rochelle was active on Instagram this morning and still didnt mention or tweet about NGU. One tweet from Frankie to her 1.2 million followers would make a big difference.

They are promoting! They probably had something decent for Saturday Night Takeaway, I'm sure it was beyond their control that it was cut. But they have two performances coming up over the next few days. And it IS the Easter holidays from Monday so it might get a slightly better boost than usual.

 

Other than that, the only way this song was going to be a bit is if it did well on a Radio airplay. It hasn't.
