Dan Wotton confirmed Vanessa has signed up for I Am a Celeb! What an opportunity for her, although I can already imagine the amount of sats shade!

Sats are really claiming Q4 TV show slots, aren't they!?

Fantastic for her, shes easily the one whose had the least time in the spotlight since the hiatus.

Yes I'm sure she'll be dragging the Sats and plugging her solo work the entire time, but I'm sure she will give us some great moments.
If Vanessa does get I'm a Celebrity, it makes me wonder. Did Sarah Harding chose to do Big Brother over either/both Strictly and I'm a Celebrity as she is really a bigger name than Mollie or Vanessa.

I reckon she probably chose to do it. I'm surprised Vanessa is the one going in though, I expected Frankie to after she made a few appearances on the last season because of Wayne being a contestant.

Just found out my school bully worked with Vanessa on Chapter Two!
Vanessa is hilarious and perfect for a show like that but I detest I'm A Celeb, I wish she'd do CBB but ofc I'm A Celeb is a much bigger platform for her.

That's weird. In what capacity?

Glad he's working with a flop artist and isn't actually doing well.

Sorry but Vanessa really?

She'll be the first one out.

I really like her but I can't see the public liking her at all, she'll be the one that people are like 'Who's that?'

Her solo stuff is utter garbage, I think they're so stupid as they could have easily continued The Sats getting featured artists (rappers etc etc).

Do you really think they could continue? 3 of their last 4 singles missed the Top 10. Living For The Weekend scraped into the top 10 and quickly dropped despite having 3 top 10's including a number 1.

They quit whilst they were just about ahead and before the public and media picked up they were starting to flop.

I don't see why not considering members are releasing solo flop material.

They'd of had more success staying together, maybe not massive chart hits but with the right material they could of had some moderate hits.

Given that random Olympic hockey woman came 4th or w/e last year, and same with Amy Willerton in her year, she'll be fine if she just shows her personality. Conversely there are always big names who flop and came like 10th, it's not about people knowing who you are as such.

The truth is that they probably earn more by not having to split the money five ways.

Anyway, do you really want "The Saturdays new single debuts at #96" stories? Ayeeee :arrr: Their solo stuff might flop but the media doesn't pay attention to it.

Yeah, as much as it pains me to say it, they did the right thing by stopping when they did. If and when they do come back together it will at least generate buzz and there will be some hype around it, helping their chances of getting a hit.

As for Vanessa, I think she could do fine. Look at Ashley Roberts, she entered into I'm A Celeb with the same background and notoriety and look how that turned out. Ashley's personality might be a bit more infectious but Vanessa was hilarious on Chasing the Saturdays so I could see her winning over the public.

Ashley Roberts is a perfect analogy - she also happened to spill lots on the PCD split in her time so I definitely think Vanessa's time in The Sats will come up as a topic of conversation.

That said, someone has listed Vanessa White as "past members" on the wikipedia page for the group

Probably just due to that interview she did. Frankie said in a recent interview that they have all shown interest in regrouping someday.

Vanessa has celebrated an early birthday weekend with Nicola Roberts. Musically I think they’d be very different but she’s a brilliant writer and good friend of Vanessa’s so fingers crossed she cowrites on the next EP.
