Apparently Robin Thicke's album missed the top 500, meaning it sold less than 50 copies?

I'm not happy about Sheppard's new single bombing (and don't really understand why!?!), it's gorgeous! I guess people expected Geronimo 2.0, I hope the album does well for them this week!

Long overdue first #1 for Sia is of course the highlight of this week! Pity 'Chandelier' could never quite make it though. I look forward to seeing how quickly 'Que Sera' drops now.

Always felt bad for the fact that Sia's last album would've got to #1, had Eminem's album not been released midweek. One to watch also is that Paloma Faith's landed an ad spot for "Only Love Can Hurt Like This", which is currently about #12 combined on iTunes now :o

Ha, I was actually thinking this could happen, as in the album selling more/peaking in its second week due to the amount of publicity about how much it flopped in the first week. Don't think he got a new peak in the UK though (although I haven't seen the top 200).

iTunes chart comes from LivePopBars http://www.lpb5.com/lpb1024.php?Region=143...mp;t=1405522631 The #4000 figure I mentioned was merely an estimate based on where Paula was on the R&B chart at the time (around #120) and how high on that chart the lowest R&B album is in the top 1500.

 

Sales figures don't have a consistent source, but a few news sites tend to report them on occasion.

 

One to watch also is that Paloma Faith's landed an ad spot for "Only Love Can Hurt Like This", which is currently about #12 combined on iTunes now :o

 

Since then she's shot up to #1 :o Probably not soon enough to impact to top spot this week, but she could be coming in around the top 3 or top 5.

Oh indeed! I assume Gabrielle did more big promo because the song was an iTunes #1, but is currently #6. Paloma is still iTunes #1 so I'm thinking she'll get a second week, but G.R.L. are up to #2 :o

 

I'm liking how quickly 'Que Sera' is falling after its "amazing" run at #1.

I think Gabrielle's Australian tour wrapped up last month, so she hasn't been able to do much in the way of promo, but from what I understand (haven't seen it myself), her huge boost came/is coming(?) from being covered on X-Factor, and the song being used heavily on the ads. It's funny how remarkably similar this has all been to Birdy's 2012 success, with a song in a regular promo ("People Help The People") and a song getting the X-Factor treatment ("Skinny Love").

 

And of course, Justice Crew shows how drastic it can be when promo stops and the song went up to full price on iTunes. If new hits keep getting propelled up quickly, it could nearly be out of the top 20 next week :lol:
