Yep.

I was going to ask if 'Undo' won the jury vote but Wiki says Ace won that and it's ahead on both streaming and iTunes so... I'm a tad baffled :unsure: I know Melodifest gets a huge viewership so I'm surprised the votes weren't overly in line with public opinion - not sure 'Undo' will get the same backing Sweden usually gives their entries.

^ What do you mean by backing? (considering everyone but Sweden ultimately decides how well the song does). How it's presented on stage? Or are you talking about general buzz created by Swedish fans that spreads elsewhere?

I think people who like Ace are probably younger people who are more inclined to buy the song, rather than Sanna who probably has some grandmas on her side who dont even know what the internet is.

Ha I saw that live actually! Had to rewind it a few times to understand how exactly it all escalated. Clearly, as Linda says, the guy from Aslan isn't used to dealing with women who have brains :rolleyes:. She's unbelievable, that woman. I love how she's asked for her opinion on the act, takes the opportunity to hurl abuse at your man (who hadn't uttered a word about her prior to that) and after she storms back to her seat, complains to Ryan that she wasn't asked her opinion on the performance (not shown in the video)!

Baby Goodbye by EMD was way more popular in Sweden than La Voix in 2009, and I'd argue that Snalla Snalla was too. Weirdly, bigger than all of them that year was the dreadful interval act Tingaliin, a horrible dance piss-take of Russian culture!

 

Nanne's Hall Om Mig was also way more popular there than Las Vegas in 2005.

 

In airplay terms, there was a list I saw a few years ago of the most played MF songs on Swedish radio and it actually primarily consisted of non-winners, Sarah Dawn Finer did well in it with Moving On and so did Jessica Andersson's I Did It For Love from 2010, they both only finished 6th or 7th in the final iirc!

 

I'm a massive Sanna stan (stanna?) so very happy that she won but Sweden definitely threw away a winner by not sending Ace Wilder.
