ive been against the death penalty, i think its just wrong.

 

but now im begining to change my mind...

 

terrorists.... assuming they fail in their plot, wouldnt the death penalty be a huge deterant? as if they didnt die a martyre but as a criminal wouldnt their 'next life' be rather gloomy?...lol

I think it's a bad idea, they would be seen as martyrs, and it could end up breeding more terrorists. It was the right decision to give Moussauoi (sp?) life, and you have to look at places like Guantanamo - weren't a few of the people there found innocent? I'm always against the death penalty unless it is absolutely solid that they committed the crime, and it very rarely is.

But wouldn't us killing them only make the terrorists that have the same belief even more angrier and make things worse? and also as I always say when talking about this subject what gives us the right to kill them and they're not allowed to kill us? wouldn't the courts be terrorists if they killed seven alledged terrorists? and also there are SO many people who are falsely accused of being terrorists right now. -_-

 

There is one perfect solution to stop all this c**p anyway.. get our troops out of Iraq and stop attacking other countries because that's what started all this c**p which also makes us hypocrites (well the British and American governments anyway) as they all see us as 'terrorists' too hence them coming over here to bomb all of OUR innocent people. :rolleyes: Not forgetting them also having sick interpretations of religious beliefs that were supposed to be in the name of good. -_-

If death penalty is going to be applied for terrorists then Blair and Bush should get the death penalty too as they are every bit as bad as Osama's lot

Death is what they want though Rob, so executing them would just make them martyrs and guarantee that even more impressionable, naive young men and women would just flock to their cause....

Why not stick them on deserted island, in the middle of nowhere with some method of guarding them either by boat or plane or something. Keep them alive but totally excluded from all society and no visits from family, just total exclusion from everyone apart from fellow terrorists.

How many people languishing in the 'submarine' in Bellmarsh or on these Home Office "Control Orders" have been tried and convicted in a Court of Law though....?

 

on one hand, it would get rid of the worthless $h!ts, but on the other theyll be seen as matyrs and probly cause some kind of silly outrage somewhere...i think they just need to be in a place where they cant be tortured for the rest of there lives, and can never be able to interact with the outside world again.

 

but the case is that only so few extremists in the uk, or in the world infact that you couldnt send them all back. many have grew here all there lives and do contribute good towards the country etc, though i dont believe any more people should be coming in now. i think its just a case now on police intelligence and reports from the public, though i hate to admit it.

Could you please list which of the 7/7 bombers, the 21/7 bombers, the shoe bomber and the Heathrow bombers who were arrested recently are asylum seekers or immigrants who came into this country ???

 

I will save you the trouble of searching, NONE of them were, out of ALL those terrorists and would be terrorists they were ALL born in the UK
