she's not going down an R&B road, HDL is just one track and its fusion its got latin elements its not pure R&B, with shakira she goes for many kinds of sounds a hybrid, OA is latin mixed with arabic, HDL is the only all out hip shaking commercial track on OF2 the rest are nothing like it

She should DEFINITELY go back to this sort of look and sound rather than following down this awful R&B/blonde road that she's gone down, this is SO much better than the stuff she's doing now.... Why is it that Foreign language artists have to sacrifice their individuality and even Ethnicity to some degree just to tap into the sodding US market.... <_< Why should she even care, I'd've thought she had a big enough audience in Spanish-speaking countries without having to dumb down her style....

 

Glad you like them GF :D I know that when she's done a song like Hips Don't Lie it's hard to believe that she has actually gone back to this sound on Oral Fixation 2. The sound is very rock orientated and the lyrics are very poetic and intelligent like her Spanish ones - but it didn't sell. Don't Bother and Oral Fixation 2 were flops untill Hips Don't Lie came along.
