September 15, 200618 yr I did history gcse, I'm doing it for a-level too. It's quite hard, but really interesting. ^_^ If you really think about it, it's actually America's fault for what happened
September 15, 200618 yr If you really think about it, it's actually America's fault for what happened What's your reasons?
September 15, 200618 yr What's your reasons? It was all to do when America was "with" Bin Laden helping him fight other countries and that etc. and it was america who helped them. If we never helped them there technology and weapons probally wouldnt of been as advanced and the planes would probally never of happened

If we never helped them there technology and weapons probally wouldnt of been as advanced and the planes would probally never of happened That's kinda true, but what it really was was the CIA trained and funded the Mujahadeen Guerilla fighters in the 1980s against the Soviet Union invasion of Afghanistan, the Mujahadeen became the Taliban and Bin Laden formed Al Qaeda, and now our soldiers are out in Afghanistan fighting and being killed by the people the Yanks trained. Crazy sh!t.... And this "Terrorist Bible" that people keep banging on about it actually a modified version of the CIA training manual which they gave to the Mujahadeen..... So, yeah, the US has brought this down on themselves in many ways, unfortunately, they've also brought it down on us as well.... <_<

However the Saudi King went with the US option, this really pissed him off and its another reason he now hates the US, along with US forces being on Saudi soil in the first place. Bin Laden had successfully driven the Soviets out of Afganistan with US weapons. The US president at the time was George HW Bush Snr. Makes you wonder now that how can Bush Jnr make a link from Sadam to Bin Laden, when 15 years ago Bin Laden was trying to get rid of Sadam.

There was no link between AQ and Saddam, in fact, Saddam was pretty good at keeping Al Qaeda OUT of Iraq and the Islamic zealots under control. Saddam's was authoritarian, but his power was from the military as opposed to the religious end... When the US got rid of Saddam, all they actually achieved was doing what Bin Laden wanted... Stand up job, I must say..... <_< Laughable really innit...? When it's supposed to be an alleged "war against terrorism", to get rid of the one guy in the region who you pretty much KNOW aint gonna be a friend or confidante of Bin Laden... Thank fukk we didnt have an idiot like Bush as President in WW2, he'd've probably invaded Russia instead of Germany and now we'd probably all be speaking sodding GERMAN and doing Nazi salutes...... <_<
September 19, 200618 yr I could write pages about what I think about this issue but what I shall say is - it was awful
