Posted March 19, 201411 yr now i am well aware there is a thread in pop (albeit with few replies) but this woman is being pushed from all angles indie (tracks premiering on indie blogs). so i thought this would be the best place for her currently as this is the market she is targeting (when she moves on to a major label deal and being pushed for big sales then a topic would be more appropriate in pop i thought) two songs out now: mlpZCfIM33w _ugUFWr8jS0 not sure what to make yet
March 20, 201411 yr Meh. I liked 'Catch' for a short while so i was excited for her, but it's worn thin since. The new one is quite crap and annoying? And the videos?? I don't get it
March 20, 201411 yr Author 'prime' was a bit eh at first but it's a real grower. anthemic and much better than 'catch' which did blow out in about two days. so bizarre to see the blogosphere fawning all over her. it would seem pure pop circa 1994 has come back around and is now left of the mainstream.
May 6, 201411 yr this is my favourite of hers so far by a mile! quite 90s pop mixed with the CC comparison u mentioned jake!
May 6, 201411 yr This is amazing. Grittier than anything else she's done, but an interesting move for her, nice to see her steering away from the kinda obvious sound she was already craving (even though I do love still love Catch).
September 12, 20168 yr I don't know if she has enough interest for her own thread, but I'm OBSESSED with 'All The Rage' right now. Violet Chachki in the video. r1JfQ_rthvI
September 12, 20168 yr She's very good at creating interesting pop songs, All The Rage might be the best we've had from her!
September 13, 20168 yr Author ...but there has to be a point where SOMETHING happens, releasing single after single...sure but it feels as if she's treading water and as a fan of good pop nothing is going to come of her. I'd be intrigued to know why her obvious big bux major label deal fell through so badly in '14...
