Posted March 20, 201411 yr http://www.soultsretailview.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/tamworth_market_graham_soult3.jpg WELCOME and a hearty 'HOW DO' to the second largest settlement located in Staffordshire. Yes it's the market hot spot of Tamworth! Famous for its castle, leisure facilities and One Direction approved CLASSY BIRDS. http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6gs7zESho1r3gmupo4_250.gif Whilst we wait to find out the qualifiers from Coleraine, we have 8 more songs to compete for your love to send them DIREKT TILL GRIMSBY. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263783/melodifestivalen/article1719226.svt/alternates/large/outtrigger.jpg 1. OUTTRIGGER - Echo The token screamo entry of the year, Outtrigger rose to fame in Sweden after posting a cover version of last year's winning song 'You' on YouTube. A song we all thought was destined to make it to the final, in fact only JUST scraped through to andra chansen by the skin of their teeth, beating dr. alban & Jessica Folcker by a mere 856 votes. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263676/melodifestivalen/article1719216.svt/alternates/large/eko.jpg 2. EKO - Red EKO found themselves in Melodifestivalen after winning Svensktoppennästa in 2013 with the song 'Yellow'. 'Red' is a CHVRCHES meets Kate Bush type affair and I'm sure they've found some fans on Buzzjack with that. They finished stone dead last in Göteborg, can they at least make andra chansen this time around? http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263730/melodifestivalen/article1719222.svt/alternates/large/oscarzia.jpg 3. OSCAR ZIA - Yes We Can Kempe must've been OUTRAGED when he learnt that his latest twink wasn't even a Melodifestivalen virgin! Oscar provided the vocals on Behrang Miri's 'Jalla dansa sawa' the year before. However this 90s throwback (and not in a good way) secured Oscar a place in the final, but I'm unsure if Buzzjack will be as kind. In fact I KNOW Buzzjack won't be as kind. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263835/melodifestivalen/article1719229.svt/alternates/large/shirleyclamp.jpg 4. SHIRLEY CLAMP - Burning Alive Shirley, Shirley, Shirley. Where did it all go wrong? It must've been the dress, because the song and the VOX were all there back in Göteborg. I hope you people realise the SEVERITY of the situation here. The NEED for her to at least get the approval of the internet gays. And I'm sure we would all feel the WRATH of Tirren if this was shunned to 5th place or worse! Do the right thing Buzzjack. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263900/melodifestivalen/article1719230.svt/alternates/large/stateofdrama.jpg 5. STATE OF DRAMA - All We Are Look at these COCKY bast*rdS. After appearing in last year's final, I suppose everyone thought it was inevitable that State Of Drama would be there again this year. And they so very nearly were, finishing in 2nd place after the first round of voting in Göteborg. Luckily there was some winter olympics hockey match on at the time and they eventually lost out on a direct final placing to Ace Wilder by less than 900 votes. Thank GOD. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263549/melodifestivalen/article1719208.svt/alternates/large/cajsastinaakerstrom.jpg 6. CAJSASTINA ÅKERSTRÖM - En enkel sång I don't even remember this. I know it was a ballad. But really, we didn't need this when we already had the superior 'Songbird'. And we CERTAINLY didn't need Ellinore Holmer the week after. What were you thinking Christer?? I doubt this will be troubling us again after this heat of Buzzfestivalen and frankly, who really cares. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1389263503/melodifestivalen/article1719207.svt/alternates/large/acewilder.jpg 7. ACE WILDER - Busy Doin' Nothin' Well if this wasn't the surprise of the whole season! Resigned by literally everyone to come about 7th, this 31 year old (!) proved us ALL wrong. The most modern, contemporary song of the whole contest, 'Busy Doin' Nothin' has gone on to top the Swedish charts for 2 weeks and counting. This is certain to make it to Grimsby and I think it may well just win the whole thing. http://www.svt.se/cachable_image/1392118101/melodifestivalen/article1719209.svt/alternates/large/dralbanochjessicafolcker.jpg 8. DR. ALBAN & JESSICA FOLCKER - Around The World The HOT MESS of the heat. Two 90s hasbeens coming together for Jessica's last shot at Melodifestivalen success. The performance was everything and despite some questionable vocals the couple managed to make it to the second round of voting, where they crashed out in one of the most unpredictable Globen or Bust's ever. Can they go one step further here? I wouldn't bet against it. So there you have them, the 8 songs competeting for those lucrative tickets to Grimsby. I think you all know the drill by now when it comes to voting but if you don't, here's a snabbrepris: 12pts 10pts 08pts 06pts 04pts 02pts 01pt 00pts 12 points for your favourite melodi, all the way down to sweet FRIG ALL for State Of Drama. Here's a list for you to copy from: Outtrigger - Echo EKO - Red Oscar Zia - Yes We Can Shirley Clamp - Burning Alive State Of Drama - All We Are CajsaStina Åkerström - En enkel sång Ace Wilder - Busy Doin' Nothin' dr. alban & Jessica Folcker - Around The World Please PM me, AdamAloud, your votes before 23:59 on 26th March 2014.
